This is a local tour from HIS Japan, and in principle, the tour is conducted in Japanese. If there are foreign tourists who do not understand Japanese, the tour leader will explain important points in simple English. After observing, it seems that foreign tourists are arranged in the front row seats for the convenience of the tour leader's explanation. If you buy the tour directly from HIS, you need to pay extra to specify a front seat. The price of this tour on KLOOK was originally more expensive than the HIS official website, but there was a 30% off promotion, so KLOOK was cheaper in the end. The one-way drive is about 2.5 hours, and the bus has four rows of seats, which are a bit cramped. The seating chart is posted on the bus door, so check your seat when you get on. Lunch is about 1 hour, and you can enjoy a full crab meal. The ingredients are of average quality, but the presentation looks spectacular. After lunch, take the cable car to the sand dunes for 1 hour. The Tottori Sand Dunes are truly spectacular, and climbing on horseback is quite breathtaking. Fortunately, the weather (March 1st) was good that day, and it wasn't too cold. On the way, I also saw a spot where you can take pictures with camels, which really felt like being in the desert. Finally, I bought some local Tottori souvenirs (such as twentieth-century pear cake) at the souvenir shop in the center of the sand dunes. Then, I visited Hakuto Shrine, listened to the guide's story of the White Rabbit of Inaba, and shopped at the roadside rest area next to it. The last stop was a 160-year-old tofu chikuwa shop. You can sample almost all the products, and there are free soy milk and water available. On the way back, I also ate a croquette at the Akamatsu rest area, which is said to be a local specialty. Overall, it was very good, and I would like to arrange a more in-depth tour of Tottori if I have the opportunity in the future.

I joined a fully booked tour, and the guide and driver provided excellent service. My fellow tour members were also very kind and friendly. We visited the sand dunes I had longed to see. Although the journey was quite long, we stopped twice for short breaks along the way. I got to eat shabu-shabu crab meat and saw camels and the vast sand dunes. It was a very enjoyable experience. The only downside was that time was a bit tight, so I didn't get to ride the cable car. The second stop was the relatively lesser-known Yunomura Onsen, where soaking my feet in the footbath was incredibly relaxing. The tour guide was very attentive; knowing I didn't have a towel, they kindly offered me a pack of tissues. Gazing at the river, feeling the breeze, and seeing the traces left by Sayuri Yoshinaga, it felt like time stood still. The return journey was long due to traffic, but I was lucky enough to stumble upon a snowy mountain view at a rest stop that hadn't melted yet. A fellow tour member, who learned I was from overseas, even recommended souvenirs from Osaka. It was truly a pleasure chatting with her. This trip was definitely worthwhile. The bus had charging outlets and Wi-Fi, so I didn't have to worry about my phone running out of battery or losing internet access. I will definitely come again if I have the chance.

It was supposed to rain the night before the tour, so it was cloudy and cold enough to see our breath until late morning. However, thanks to our self-proclaimed weather fairy guide, Jeon Ara, we were able to see Mount Fuji on our way back to Tokyo. It was a breathtaking view after a long wait, making for a perfect end to our trip! I appreciated that Guide Jeon Ara adjusted the itinerary based on the weather and on-site conditions, rather than sticking to the planned order. She also gave great recommendations for delicious snacks at each location and provided accurate guidance and explanations. I realized that seeing Mount Fuji is more difficult than expected and requires a lot of luck (😅). Since the temperature is about 5 degrees colder than in downtown Tokyo, I think April would be a great time to visit, as the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom and the weather will be warmer throughout early, mid, and late April. 🌸

2025/12/28 This was my first trip to Fukuoka with my family. We bought a package tour and saw snow in Japan for the first time. We even had a small snowball fight. The tour guide said that the group the day before couldn't make it up because of the snow on the ground. We were lucky today. Although there wasn't much snow on the ground, it was still a great experience. The scenery in Itoshima was really beautiful, and the palm trees were lovely. We had a lot of fun on the swings, and it was a great place to take pictures. The Ichiran factory is also a great place for a walk. At lunchtime, the tour guide arranged for us to eat Ichiran ramen. I heard it was the main store, so we didn't have to wait in line, which was also a great treat. Finally, at Miyajidake Shrine, we enjoyed delicious food and watched the sunset, a perfect combination. So happy!

We had a wonderful experience on this day tour to Kusasenri Grassland (Kusasenrigahama) and Takachiho Gorge.
Our tour guide, Daisy Wu, was very lovely and friendly. She speaks both English and Chinese fluently, which made communication very easy for everyone in the group. During each stop, she also recommended different local food spots for us to try, which was very helpful.
Originally, our itinerary was supposed to include Aso Crater as well. However, due to a recent helicopter accident and the ongoing rescue operations, the crater area was temporarily closed. Daisy handled the situation very well and brought us to an alternative spot instead.
Luckily, the weather today was very clear, so we were still able to see Aso Crater from Kusasenri Grassland, which made the experience even more special.
Overall, this is a highly recommended day tour. Thank you for the lovely keychain souvenir, it’s a nice memory from the trip. Hope to join another tour with Daisy again in the future!

This tour was a combination of local groups, and there were two large groups departing that day, all locals, so the tour guide could only speak Japanese. However, the tour guide made all sorts of preparations in advance, printed Chinese introductions to the attractions, and clearly informed us of the meeting time for each point on paper slips. The crab meal was very rich, with a whole crab plus various desserts, very satisfying. The sand dunes and the Sand Museum were also great experiences 😊, but I wish the visiting time could be longer, as it feels a bit rushed now. The transportation arrangement was also comfortable, and there were several short rest stops on the long-distance bus, so I am very satisfied with this trip 😌.

The Mt. Fuji tour was truly an unforgettable experience. Most of all, thanks to our guide, Kanazawa-san, we were able to enjoy the trip more comfortably and pleasantly. Throughout the journey, she kindly explained everything in detail and thoughtfully pointed out photo spots and sights, which made the entire trip highly satisfying. The scenery of Mt. Fuji was incredibly beautiful, and Kanazawa-san's bright and considerate guidance made the day feel even more special. If I go on another Mt. Fuji tour, she's definitely the guide I'd want to be with again. Thank you so much :)

Thankful I’ve decided to book this tour. This is perfect for autumn. Leaves and Trees are stunning! Sakurai Shrine is like you’re in a postcard! Very beautiful! Too bad it is not allowed to swim at the beach. :(
