I came to Australia for a solo trip to go skydiving. The original date I booked a month in advance was canceled due to operational reasons, and I was asked to reschedule, which also extended my itinerary. However, I still believe it was absolutely worth it to go skydiving. The scenery was incredibly beautiful and truly breathtaking. Although my instructor was a foreigner, they explained everything thoroughly, making it the best experience of my life and an amazing trip. It was around 8:30 AM in late May, and my attire of a T-shirt under a hoodie with long pants was just right. While it was hot on the ground, it's very windy at altitude, so I recommend wearing long sleeves for the jump.
Facilities: We met at the site, watched an instructional video, stored our belongings in lockers, and then met our instructors. We then drove to the jump site in a car, with about six people per group.

Our tour guide was Grace and she was amazing. My teenagers loved the zip lines but I was a bit slower and grave made sure I made it across!! Really interesting facts about the trees, plants and wildlife in this amazing rainforest.

Great hotel. Just felt a little old, not quite 5 stars as it says it is. Staff were very frustrating upon our check-out. We called that morning requesting a 30 mins leniancy due to a work meeting, and were given permission. However was in room for meeting and they kept on harrassing us to get out of the room within 10 mins after 11am check-out time. Very embarrassing for me during meeting and a major interruption. Unprofessional.

We arrived on an early morning flight, and the smooth check-in process was incredibly helpful. The location was excellent, and our room was very clean and comfortable! The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and we could even order warm egg dishes, which were delicious. The Hilton is definitely our top choice in Cairns!

We stayed for two nights in late August. When we tried to drop off our luggage around 10 AM, we were told our room would be ready in about two hours. It's so traveler-friendly to allow early check-in. Both the reception staff and the housekeeping staff were wonderful people.

This is convenient for sightseeing in Cairns. It's a bit of a walk from the city center, but being close to the ocean was nice. One of the washing machines was broken, but having laundry facilities is still very convenient.

Great day tour to the Daintree, but I do feel like the itinerary is a bit rush. We got too little time stopping at the Mossman River Creek & Cape Tribulation (I really wished we had more time in those places). On the other hand, I really love the welcome to country ceremony & introduction to local indigenous culture - really eye opening experience. The river cruise and walk thru the rainforest also came with clear introduction & excellent guide.

We joined the stargazing tour and really enjoyed it. Stargazing depends a lot on luck and weather, so we were very grateful that the conditions were good on the night we went.
The experience felt really special because it was so dark at the location that we could only see the silhouettes of the trees, with the distant brightness coming from Cairns city. Lying on a picnic mat under the open sky and looking up at what felt like countless stars was such a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable, which made the tour even better. He shared useful tips on how to take photos of the stars, lent us his binoculars, and pointed out different stars and constellations, especially Scorpio. He also showed us the Milky Way, which was amazing to see.
It was a very meaningful experience and something different from the usual sightseeing activities in Cairns. I recommend it if you enjoy nature, quiet moments, and learning more about the night sky.

Kuranda is a small town. Not as vibrant because not all shops open. Time is quite tight. Nice wildlife park. The 2 kangaroos are very docile and open for closeup photos. There are 2 staffs that came out to share about their animals (Jack and the blue tongue lizard). Boomerang throw is great fun. Highlight is the DUKW tour as the guide/driver shares their wealth of knowledge of the plants in the rainforest. Thumbs up! Great for whole family
