Kyoto Cultural experiences

I forgot our photographer’s name but she was from Taiwan and she’s so nice and lovely. I have high expectations for photos so I was prepared to edit it on my own. Imagine my surprise when we received our photos and it did not need any editing at all. It was so gooooood. Kudos to the shop and our photographer that day! Thank you so much!

We had such an amazing experience during our Kyoto photoshoot. From the beginning, Mr. Kai made us feel comfortable and guided us naturally through every pose, which helped us enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the camera. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful — every shot captured the atmosphere of Kyoto, the details of our outfits, and the emotions of the day perfectly.

We absolutely loved our kimono rental experience! 🩷 The staff were so kind, friendly, and approachable, and they made the whole experience feel extra special. I especially love how they styled my hair—it was so beautiful and elegant, and matched my kimono perfectly! 🥺🌸 I also really loved our kimonos and how everything came together. We booked this for our first wedding anniversary in Kyoto, and it became such a beautiful memory for us. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! Highly recommended! 🇯🇵🏯🩷

The experience was fun for the whole family. It wasn't too difficult to shave the wood, even for my 8 yr old. We chose Sugi, Walnut, Sakura, and Purple Heart. Victor K. was very helpful, professional, and patient. He provided clear instructions and helpful hints to make the beautiful chopsticks. You can tell he truly enjoys the craft of making chopsticks. The personalized engraving was a fun extra we all loved.

Had a wonderful experience at the store! Majo was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. She made everything easy and pleasant, and her excellent customer service truly stood out. I had an absolutely wonderful experience today. I learned so much about the history of matcha, which was unexpected. The hosts were friendly and spoke great English. I will definitely visit them again on my next trip to Kyoto.

We were the first guests to arrive for our 9:30 AM reservation, but we got to the shop at 9:20 AM. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and spoke Chinese. Since we arrived early, we were able to start choosing our kimonos and sashes right away, and then head upstairs for styling. The Japanese stylists on the second floor who helped with dressing, makeup, and hair were also very friendly. The kimonos available were all super beautiful, with various fabrics, making it so hard to choose! The lady on the first floor also helped us pair the perfect sash and accessories, and her aesthetic sense was spot on. (Plus, the stylist on the second floor was super fast; my hair was done in no time!) Overall, it was quick and professional, and the experience was excellent. If we ever come back to Kiyomizu-dera, we'll definitely visit again!

They treated us wonderfully. I especially want to mention the ladies at the tea ceremony; despite arriving at 5:05 PM due to our own fault, they understood us and treated us with great kindness. It was a unique experience.
