Anping District

The best time to visit Anping District is from November to March, when Tainan is usually dry, sunny, and comfortable for walking between historic sites. Late afternoon is especially good for waterfront views and less intense heat.

From Tainan Station, take a local bus or taxi to Anping, usually around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. Travelers staying in central Tainan can also use scooters, bikes, or ride-hailing apps.

Anping’s core historic area is walkable, but buses, taxis, bikes, and scooters help connect Anping Fort, Eternal Golden Castle, the waterfront, and nearby Sicao Green Tunnel. Parking can be busy on weekends, so public transport or taxis are often easier.

Stay in Anping for a quieter historic atmosphere, waterfront walks, and easy access to old streets. Stay near Tainan Station or West Central District if you want more hotel choices, nightlife, and access to Chihkan Tower, Shennong Street, and city-center food.
