Booking the itinerary is convenient. The day before, a staff member will add you as a friend on your preferred messaging app and create a group chat to inform you of the entire process for the day. They will also explain the meeting point and time for each stop.
I'm not one for hyperbole, but this was a jolly good tour. The driver turned up on time, the car was clean, and the pacing felt just right. Enoshima's seafood was fresh, the Enoden ride was delightful, and the Great Buddha has a quiet dignity about it. The crossing at Kamakura High School is exactly what you expect — a bit busy, but fun nonetheless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Traveling in a small private car is very relaxing. You can just sleep in the car without having to think about anything. Our driver, Xiao Liu, was also very thoughtful and clearly communicated the schedule and meeting points!
The balance of professionalism and relaxation is hard to find in group tours.

That part where you see the ocean from inside the Enoden train car really feels like stepping into a Japanese drama scene.
No need to research the Enoden train schedule or drag luggage while transferring; carpooling saves a lot of effort. The seafood at Enoshima is delicious, and the historical atmosphere of Hachimangu Shrine is captivating. The pace was relaxed, and we thoroughly enjoyed every stop.
Our driver knew the roads very well and even advised us on the best time to take photos in front of the high school, helping us avoid cars and crowds. The sunset view at Enoshima was superb, and sitting down to enjoy matcha ice cream in front of the Great Buddha was incredibly relaxing. The peonies at Hachimangu Shrine were in full bloom. By the end of the day, my phone was almost out of storage from taking hundreds of photos – it was absolutely worth it!
I originally thought Kamakura was just temples and trains, but after actually visiting, I realized every spot has its own unique character. It's fantastic.
Good to know
