4-Day Tour of Shangri-La, Yunnan's Secret Realm

Very nice tour. Not rushed. Just a steady pace for us to savor everything. Best day was the first day where we get to do a light hike and go mushroom picking. The weather was quite hot in the summer but nights were cool. Unfortunately the last day we didn't get to view the sunrise over Meili Mountains due to rain and fog. Anyhow big thanks to our excellent guide YiXiLaMu. Excellent driving and helpful in every way.

Our trip to Shangri-La was unforgettable! Tiger Leaping Gorge was magnificent, Napa Lake was picturesque in every season, Songzanlin Monastery was solemn and majestic, Pudacuo National Park was pristine and pure, and the First Bend of the Yangtze River was breathtakingly beautiful. We were also fortunate enough to witness the incredible sight of the sun illuminating the golden mountains and the moon shining on the silver mountains, which was truly awe-inspiring. A special thank you to our Naxi driver, Master He Guochang (Yun RD7336), who was warm and attentive. He not only took us to sample authentic local cuisine but also vividly explained the local customs and culture, making our journey truly heartwarming. Highly recommended!

My friend and I had this roadtrip in the 4th week of November 2025. It was one of the most amazing roadtrips I ever had. We don't even speak Chinese, but brother Cola made it smooth even with the translator app. He is attentive and also good at taking photos. We visited all the places mentioned in the Klook itinerary and also stopped at some viewing platforms along the way. Even play with the snow while taking a break from driving. As for meals, all lunches and dinners were at our own expense, while breakfasts were in the hotel restaurant, a tea/coffee in HalfWay cafe was included. Since it's the 2 of us, brother Cola picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel instead of a random location. The itinerary planner person will let us know the weather, temperature and destination the night before. They will also adjust the plan depending on the situation. However, the executioner is brother Cola, and he will make sure the experience is top-notch. We also love his car! Highly recommended!

I think I was extremely fortunate to join this tour. If you want to experience the wonders of northern Yunnan, including trekking along Hutiaoxia (tiger leaping gorge), marvelous Shangrila temples, golden dawn of Meili mountain, this is the must-go trip. I have travelled Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Luoyang, Dongbei region, Xiamen and Quanzhou, even Xinjiang, this was the best trip so far in China. I am also very grateful to the tour organizer for arranging very nice hotels with limited budget. I was able to communicate with the guide with my limited Chinese, so it is better to make sure you are accompanying with an English speaking guide or tour participants ahead of time. But I think if you have a wechat account, you will be able to communicate with the guide anyhow. Thank you Yang Shifu！

Itinerary: I was very satisfied with the attractions on this 4-day, 3-night trip. Guide: The driver's skills were excellent, and he often reminded us to be careful and stay safe. He also answered all our questions. Many thanks to the driver for his care over these past few days. Accommodation: The guesthouse on the first night was beautiful, and the owner was very kind.

The trip experience was great! The attractions we visited were classic but not too crowded, so we had a great experience without being packed in. The hiking tour is highly recommended - the scenery is beautiful and the experience is excellent! Kele Ge and Xia Tian Ge were our drivers, and they were great drivers, drove steadily, knew the routes well, and were very patient - in short, they were excellent. The food throughout the trip was great, the hotels were clean, and close to the attractions. Overall, highly recommended!

Our 4-day group tour to Shangri-La exceeded expectations! The itinerary was very well-planned, starting from Lijiang and covering Tiger Leaping Gorge, Baishuitai, Pudacuo National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, and Feilai Temple. The pace was just right, not rushed, allowing us to enjoy both the canyons and snow-capped mountains, as well as experience Tibetan culture. We especially want to commend our driver, Master Li, who was incredibly thoughtful and reliable! Since we were traveling at high altitudes, he constantly monitored everyone's physical condition, reminding us to add or remove layers and be mindful of altitude sickness. He drove very steadily, even on winding mountain roads. Along the way, he patiently introduced us to local customs and proactively stopped at scenic viewpoints. He also tried his best to accommodate any requests, making us feel very safe throughout the journey. The accommodations and meals were also satisfactory, and there were no hidden tricks or unpleasant surprises during the entire trip. We saw the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, grasslands, lakes, and the magnificent scenery of Meili Snow Mountain. This trip to Northwest Yunnan was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Shangri-La!

This trip to Shangri-La was planned in early July, to help my child relax before the start of the new school term and prepare for the academic challenges ahead. The itinerary was very well-organized and comprehensive, covering all of Shangri-La's famous attractions in just four days. A special shout-out to Mr. Ba Ge, our driver from Yunnan Youxiake, whose driving skills were exceptionally steady. He was also very enthusiastic and showed us the unique scenery of Yunnan. On the second day, my child felt unwell due to altitude sickness. Mr. Ba Ge not only provided us with a portable oxygen tank, but also went the extra mile by driving an additional 50 kilometers round trip to take us to the hotel so we could settle in, allowing my child to rest and recover in an oxygenated room. After we arrived home safely, Mr. Ba Ge even sent a message to check on my child's condition. These heartwarming acts of kindness were truly touching. We are extremely satisfied with the entire trip, especially with Mr. Ba Ge from Youxiake. A big thumbs up to him, and wishing him all the best!

We were so fortunate to have 阙师傅 as our driver guide for this four day trip! His driving skills are superb and we did not feel motion sickness even on the mountain roads. He was so earnest and helpful, we could thoroughly enjoy ourselves with no worries. On the first day, the tiger leaping gorge was very crowded and touristy, but the trek with local guide 小李 in the Haba Village was informative and an amazing experience. 阙师傅's food recommendations were on point and our accommodations were pleasantly comfortable too. We highly appreciated this private tour and the extra effort 阙师傅put in to make our trip special. Shoutout also to the agency coordinator 豆豆 for answering all our queries promptly and providing useful info. Shangri-La is beautiful :')

This Shangri-La trip was a spontaneous decision after arriving in Yunnan, influenced by numerous positive reviews and the professionalism of the travel manager, which led me to choose this journey. The entire itinerary was well-arranged, and the hotel accommodations were, in my opinion, the best in terms of hardware, environment, and hygiene. In Tiger Leaping Gorge and Feilai Temple, we had rooms with a view. The hiking guide they found was also very professional, and many of the spots were perfect for taking great photos. Special mention goes to Mr. Li Zhian, who drove steadily, was very enthusiastic, explained various local cultures to us along the way, and arranged the time reasonably, making the entire trip relatively relaxing and comfortable. I was also very fortunate to see both "Golden Sunlight on the Snow Mountain" and "Silver Moonlight on the Snow Mountain" at the same time, so I must give it a positive review.
