Things to do in Giethoorn

Giethoorn is a must in the summer. Lucas was informative yet concise. The boat ride lasts an hour and the rest of the intinerary is free time which is perfect.

Extremely satisfied! The itinerary was perfectly planned. Our driver and tour guide was very humorous, chatting and greeting everyone. His driving was also very reassuring. We had a 1-hour boat tour in Giethoorn, plus nearly 3 hours of free time, which was more than enough. We were able to explore at a leisurely pace and still had time to enjoy a drink and a snack. We were also given a complimentary drink, redeemable at the cheese shop.

Our tour guide, Lei Zhen, was incredibly professional. He explained every itinerary item very clearly and had an excellent service attitude! He was also very attentive to everyone's needs, and the arrangements were seamless. His explanations of the attractions were vivid and engaging, and he introduced us to the local cultural characteristics along the way, giving us a deeper understanding of Amsterdam and its customs. The entire trip was filled with laughter and a great atmosphere! Highly recommended to everyone!

A 10/10 experience, coming from a female solo traveller! It may be more exp than the rest but it’s worth every penny. there is only a small group of us (8 pax) and the guide (Reinier) will take care of you from the start to the end, from preparing water bottles, picking you up directly from the hotel, preparing powerbank, wifi and everything! he makes sure we go early enough to avoid the crowd and get good pictures (he knows the best spots for pics). As compared to a large bus tour, this is a curated tour for smaller groups to understand the history of the places, and this tour includes the additional Lego House in Zandaam and most importantly Giethoorn which is a MUST go cause it’s so charming. I cannot recommend this tour and the tour guide Reiner enough!

The meeting point was easy to find. After getting off the bus, the driver first took everyone to board a boat for a canal tour. Afterward, there was free time for activities. On the return trip, the driver also provided bottled water for everyone, which was very thoughtful.

This day trip left me with very satisfying memories. Not only did we have perfect weather, with clear blue skies and white clouds all day, but we also met an excellent tour guide, Mr. KunHao. He proactively contacted us the day before the tour, which helped us understand the meeting point in advance. Furthermore, his management of the entire itinerary, explanations, and introductions to local details were all spot-on. Finally, when we returned to the meeting point at 6 PM, he personally bid farewell to each of us at the car door. I was extremely satisfied with the entire trip and hope to have the opportunity to ask KunHao to introduce other sights in the Netherlands in the future. Thumbs up!

An absolutely incredible full-day tour from Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn—honestly way better than many of the highly rated tours on the platform! Mukti was an outstanding guide who truly went the extra mile to ensure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day. Both Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn were breathtaking, and we had ample time to enjoy each stop properly. Special thanks to Cherry as well, who handled our last-min booking effortlessly and made sure everything was arranged smoothly. Her prompt and helpful communication really made a difference. Overall, this was a seamless, stress-free, and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality day tour in Netherlands!

It was a nice and enjoyable trip, the tour guide which cover everything as driver and he explained very well all the places visited. recommended for those new to Netherlands since the tour taken care very well from end to end by the tour guide name is Eric.

We comfortably visited all three places we wanted to see. It would have been quite inconvenient to get to these three places by public transport on our own. Being part of an eight-person small group, with a tour guide providing brief introductions to the places we passed and the background of the three main sites, and essentially covering all the typical tours for those attractions, made it very worthwhile. The only minor issue was that the car felt a bit stuffy, perhaps because it suddenly got warmer that day, but the air conditioning wasn't turned up higher. Other elderly passengers were seated in the very back row with no windows to open. However, overall, it was definitely worth it.
