Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn Tour with Lunch, Boat and Chinese Guide
What to expect

Reviews
Cosy small group, pick up was punctual and ride was comfortable. only bummer was that it was a rainy day. Guide readily shared intereting history and information on Netherlands and the sites on the itinerary. Zaanse Schans was very scenic, but my favourite would be Giethorn. Cruise was at a leisurely pace, the houses were quaint. would have preferred not to have lunch included, as it was just so so. There’s actually many dining places around. The clogs making demo was interesting!
Our tour guide from K7 Travel was Surui. It was a small group of 8 people, picked up and dropped off in a 9-seater van. The guide sends a text message the day before to remind you of the meeting spot and time, and arrives at the meeting place about 5 minutes early, so there is no need to arrive too early (the area around the meeting point is open with no shelter from rain or sun). The only regret was that it rained all day, but the guide was very thoughtful and prepared an umbrella for everyone in advance. After arriving at the Zaanse Schans, the guide led us on a walk, flexibly adjusting the tour pace based on the weather and other conditions, while sharing interesting history and information about the Netherlands and the various sights along the way. After touring the cheese factory and wooden clog factory together, we had about an hour and a half of free time. Next, we headed to Giethoorn, where we had a group lunch first. There were two options for lunch: Chinese food (beef noodles or fried rice) or a Dutch meal. After eating, we all went on a boat tour, which lasted about half an hour. Following the boat tour, we had free time—nearly 2 hours of it. As I recall, we left Giethoorn at 4:00 PM and were back in downtown Amsterdam by 5:30 PM. Since both of these attractions are somewhat far from the city center and traveling there independently is actually quite inconvenient, I feel that joining a guided tour like this offers great value for the money, with plenty of free time allotted. I highly recommend it for travelers who want some free roaming time without the hassle of dealing with transportation on their own.
This day trip left me with very satisfying memories. Not only did we have perfect weather, with clear blue skies and white clouds all day, but we also met an excellent tour guide, Mr. KunHao. He proactively contacted us the day before the tour, which helped us understand the meeting point in advance. Furthermore, his management of the entire itinerary, explanations, and introductions to local details were all spot-on. Finally, when we returned to the meeting point at 6 PM, he personally bid farewell to each of us at the car door. I was extremely satisfied with the entire trip and hope to have the opportunity to ask KunHao to introduce other sights in the Netherlands in the future. Thumbs up!
K7 Travel's Sue is professional and dedicated. At first, I thought the price was high, but after the trip, the cost of transportation, lunch, and the boat tour combined made it very worthwhile. It was cheaper and more relaxing than going by myself! Highly recommended.
Traveling by minivan was very flexible and comfortable. Our guide, Kunhao, provided detailed explanations of the attractions along the way and offered many tips for visiting Amsterdam. There was also ample free time between stops for activities and photos, making it a wonderful day trip memory.
Mr.Su is a fantastic guide. He took care all members need and driving car and boat safely. This trip is very worth to join.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable day. Tour guide Deng from K7 Travel was very professional, sharing many historical facts about the Netherlands, and also took thoughtful care of everyone. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed one-day tour of the Netherlands.
The tour guide diligently introduced the customs and traditions of the Netherlands, and also recommended many great sights and restaurants.
we went to Zaanse Schans first and then to Giethoorn. Our guide Surui did a good job explaining the history and basics of the village and we had 1 hr of free time at each site. he even helped to take pictures. overall it was quite worth it in my opinion as it would be hard or tiring to get to those locations on my own. the group is also small (6 people) and the guide was flexible with itinerary. my only request is that the flexible time at Zaanse could be longer as the village is big and it takes quite a bit of time to get around. overall would recommend
Visiting the famous Giethoorn, a cheese factory, and a Dutch clog-making workshop was a rare and wonderful experience. We had a driver who also served as a Chinese-speaking tour guide, and lunch was included. Although it rained that day, it didn't diminish the fun. I suggest making the departure and meeting point clearer; arriving early and not seeing the vehicle made me quite anxious.
