Great way to experience Amsterdam from their unique canals. Audio guides available on board, but found it more enjoyable to be at the back of the boat looking at the sights.

I was very happy to visit the brewery and enjoy the various Heineken beers. Whether you had a ticket or not, everyone lined up in the same queue first. After entering the main hall, if you didn't have a ticket, you could buy one on the spot. If you had a ticket, you could continue queuing directly. At the same time, you could go to the cloakroom to store your luggage for free. We stored all our winter down jackets, beanies, and backpacks. Afterwards, they began explaining the history, ingredients, and brewing process of the beer. The package already included two beers; the first was after bottling, and the second was at the last station. After finishing the second beer, you could then proceed to the souvenir shop and leave.

This is a small boat cruise, with a bar in the center selling drinks. The boat is decorated with some artificial flowers that look quite realistic. There are two crew members who provide commentary and a guided tour. The cruise lasts one hour. When purchasing tickets, please pay attention to whether you are choosing the option with unlimited drinks or without drinks. This is important to note beforehand.

Extremely satisfied! The itinerary was perfectly planned. Our driver and tour guide was very humorous, chatting and greeting everyone. His driving was also very reassuring. We had a 1-hour boat tour in Giethoorn, plus nearly 3 hours of free time, which was more than enough. We were able to explore at a leisurely pace and still had time to enjoy a drink and a snack. We were also given a complimentary drink, redeemable at the cheese shop.

Very nice museum with lots of things to see and information to know, especially how the Royals of Netherlands have lived before. You can allot 2 hours for the whole museum but you can also do it more than an hour.

What to know before visiting Amsterdam

Quick snapshot of Amsterdam’s offerings and seasonality

Amsterdam is a compact city where museums, guided tours and canal cruises dominate visitor activity; attraction passes and historical-site visits also feature strongly. Demand on Klook rises and falls through the year, with a clear summer peak and a quieter late-winter trough that shape how busy those categories feel.

Best times to visit and what to expect for price and crowds

Klook booking data show July as the peak month for demand, while February is the quietest — expect the busiest atmosphere in July and much lower demand in February. Prices move somewhat independently: according to Klook data March tends to be the priciest month for activities, while July is typically the cheapest, roughly mid‑year. For lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for late winter into early spring when demand is down; for full summer atmosphere and lively streets, plan for July when activity is at its height.

Tips for travellers

Most travellers book about a week in advance on average, with some last‑minute options available a day before and earlier-bird choices up to around four weeks ahead. If you prefer flexibility, many museums, tours and cruises can still be booked close to your visit; if you’re travelling in July’s peak, consider securing popular activities a week or more ahead. Use Klook to compare timing options and lock in tickets that match your schedule.
