Shenkeng Old Street tours

The definite highlight of the tour is Kavalan Distillery. The English tour was great - it was quick but very informative and the guide was very friendly and engaging. I wish the alloted time at Kavalan was longer (20-30 minutes), as it felt a bit rushed. The brewing company stop afterwards was unnecessary as there was no tour of the facility or even a basic introduction to the types of beers produced. I would recommend removing this from the itinerary altogether. The rice wine factory stop afterwards was okay - primarily for historical purposes of Yilan region. But also no basic introduction or tour of the facility and its history. Wasted opportunity in my opinion. Exploring historical Shenkeng Old Street was a nice final stop on the tour. Very lovely street with shops, stalls, restaurants, etc. Known for the stinky tofu, so fair warning of the strong unpleasant smell permeating most of the street. But very nostalgic with a beautiful view of the river next to the street.

Very interesting tour. With a small group of 3 and a Taxi as our transportation. Feel like a private tour and very flexible. The itinerary is good and relax. The Beer tour is close and raining so it’s a bit disappointed. The tour guide is good and we have a good day out with lots of shoppings 😊

A really great experience! Joseph our guide and driver was beyond brilliant. He is so kind and likeable and he is very attentive. He was a big part of why we enjoyed our tour 🤗 The places we visited were great but the Gondola was one of the biggest highlights. We even enjoyed the “Stinky tofu” which is defiantly a required taste ☺️As we had a little time left and lived close to the Liberty Square, Joseph took us there to see the guard changes too 🙂 all in all a very nice day with a very good guide. Taiwan is an absolute gem too. Thank Klook for facilitating this day tour.

Our guide May Ei was fantastic. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable despite visiting the market on a very busy weekend. she was knowledgeable, passionate and caring. we tried so many delicious dishes and May Ei helped us find things we would not have know to try. she also showed us around the temple which was a truly fascinating experience- she was so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing her culture and history. we would recommend her tour to anyone. thank you May Ei.

My one-day tour of Taipei City, which included Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the National Palace Museum, the National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine, Longshan Temple, Bopiliao Historic Block, and Sisinan Village, was truly a delightful and enriching experience. This itinerary allowed me to see many important Taipei landmarks in one day, combining history, culture, and modern city life, making this trip particularly memorable. Mr. Vaness was an excellent tour guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive to the group throughout the trip. He shared interesting stories and historical backgrounds for each attraction, which helped me better understand Taiwan's history, culture, and traditions, and made each stop even more meaningful. He was also very organized and patient, always giving us ample time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the sights at our own pace, without ever feeling rushed. Thanks to his guidance, the entire journey was smooth, informative, and very enjoyable. Overall, this was an outstanding guided tour of Taipei City, and a great way to experience Taipei's essential attractions. Having Mr. Vaness as our guide made this experience even more unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Taiwan.

It feels like a luxury to have a private tour of the night market and city! We only had a limited time in Taipei, so getting to spend time where we wanted to go was important to us. We appreciated Paul's great insights and the ability to customize the tour! His recommendations on what to get at the night market were exactly what we had in mind.

truly enjoyed the Yilan Kavanlan distillery tour. We have always loved the Taiwanese whiskey and make sure we visit the distillery during this visit to Taipei. Our guide Vanness was great and explained the process and schedule. We had enough time at each stop. if I have to make suggestion. I would say allocate a bit more time at the old street.

Lovely first guided tour in Taiwan. Really loved the experience of riding the cable car and visiting two old towns with our amazing guide Sam Han. The shops we went to were also all wonderful and high quality. Cannot recommend this trip enough!
