comfy ride going around sf. if you are short on time and want an overview of all the key touristy places in san francisco this is a good tour to do so. there are some places that can’t bring you to such as the painted ladies as tour buses cant go there. thanks to michelle and judith for the nice tour.

The pick-up location is convenient, and the route passes by all the classic sights. The bus is clean, and the commentary on the attractions is lively and engaging. I highly recommend Big Bus as a tool for independent travelers.

48-hr BigBus tours is one of the most convenient and amazing tour you can have if it is your first time in SF. With the best insights of each stop, we thought we should book an extra day just to enjoy the ride through the city! And thanks to Klook for finding the best deals.

was a great tour where I learnt so much about wine making, types of wine out there, and also grapes that are used to make wines. highly recommended!

Tour was good since it takes you around the city but some stops are a bit far from touristy spots. We had to walk a lot uphill just to see Lombard. Aquarium suddenly wasn’t part of the tour on the day we joined so we didn’t get the tickets that were supposed to be included. Sunset tour was worth it though.

Want to see the Golden Gate bridge up close? You will on this cruise! Audio has lots of good information on the bay, sites nearby, Alcatraz, and of course, the Golden Gate bridge. 1 hour cruise was worth the time and price. Lots of photo opportunities, it can get chilly, so be prepared. Drinks and snacks are available, and lots of indoor seating. Of course the best views are on the deck!

It's fun to ride a scooter around Fisherman's Wharf. The navigation system has many points of interest, so you can choose whether to detour to them based on your reservation time. It also helps you avoid extremely steep uphill climbs (otherwise, you'd be pushing your scooter back down! 🤣).

Explore the top Golden Gate Park attractions, in one of San Francisco's most stunning, creative, and captivating destinations.

California Academy of Sciences

Experience transformative encounters and groundbreaking scientific discoveries at the California Academy of Sciences, a unique blend of aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum located in the heart of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This institution serves as a leading advocate for biodiversity research, environmental education, and global sustainability efforts.

de Young Museum

The de Young Museum, San Francisco's oldest museum, resides in a stunningly modern copper-clad structure crafted by the renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize. Welcoming visitors since 2005, this museum is a monumental landmark that harmoniously combines exceptional art collections, architectural excellence, and the surrounding natural beauty into a dynamic and multifaceted destination.

Japanese Tea Garden

The Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park is the oldest of its kind in the U.S., dating back to the 1894 California Midwinter International Exposition. This beautiful garden includes traditional Japanese landscaping with carefully selected plants like Japanese maples, pines, azaleas, and cherry trees that bloom magnificently in March and April. San Francisco residents and veterans can enjoy free admission to the Conservatory of Flowers.

National AIDS Memorial Grove

The National AIDS Memorial Grove is a special place that honors people affected by AIDS. It's a place where anyone can come together to find comfort, strength, and remember those who have passed away due to the AIDS epidemic. The goal is to make sure that we never forget the pain and hardships faced by those impacted by AIDS.

Beach Chalet Visitor Center

In 1925, architect Willis Polk designed a Spanish Revival-style building at the park's edge, originally serving beachgoers. Later, the Works Progress Administration added beautiful art to the lower level. Today, it houses the Golden Gate Park Visitor Center and Park Chalet restaurant downstairs, and the Beach Chalet restaurant with ocean views upstairs.

San Francisco Botanical Garden

The San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum is a place where you can find over 8,000 types of plants from around the world on 55 acres. Near Shakespeare Garden, explore different gardens featuring plants like redwoods, Mediterranean flora, cloud forest plants, and more from various regions like Chile, Australia, and Japan. Special collections include rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias, and succulents. San Francisco residents and veterans can visit the Conservatory of Flowers for free.
