Suwon Hwaseong Fortress tours

Our tour guide was Philip, and the tour was absolutely fantastic! It was very diverse and interesting, with plenty of time at every stop to explore and enjoy the sights. What made the tour truly special was Philip himself. He shared so many fascinating stories and interesting facts, kept us laughing throughout the day, and made sure we were never bored with his enthusiastic and entertaining personality. On top of that, he took amazing photos of us at every beautiful spot, giving us wonderful memories to take home. We had an incredible day and would 100% recommend this tour, especially with Philip as your guide! Thank you, Philip, for making this experience so unforgettable!

Enjoyed the tour. Was debated if I should go on my own but decided to go on this for convenience. Turned out to be a small group of under 10 pax so it was great! Our guide, Richard was attentive & friendly & as I was on my own, he volunteered to take many pictures for me. I also told him I’m learning Korean & he gladly spoke Korean to me so I could practice. The tour’s a good pace (expect a lot of walking tho!) & Richard also shared a lot of history about the places. Highly recommend!

Thanks to the delightful guidance of Yu-san, also known as Tama-chan, two hours flew by in an instant. At the end, she accompanied us by bus to Hwaseomun Gate, where we were able to enjoy a projection mapping show. This was my second visit to Hwaseong Fortress, but Yu-san showed us places I hadn't noticed before, and areas I would never have ventured into without her guidance, making it a very meaningful experience. If I have the chance, I would definitely love to have her guide us again. Thank you, Yu-san.

We had Nicole for our half day tour of Suwon and she was amazing! She was so insightful about the history and explaining the different areas or stories. She was so sociable, fun, easy to talk to, and was interested to know where we came from and share what she knew, especially about different areas and what to look out for. We were lucky to have a private tour and would absolutely recommend this tour as they have given my partner and I a great understanding of the history of the Hwaseong fortress and palace and gave us an amazing start to our trip!

Had such a lovely experience at Hwadamsup 🌸 and Strawberry Picking 🍓 ✨ It was a bit tiring walking up the hill at Hwadamsup, but the beautiful flowers and peaceful surroundings made it all worth it — truly the highlight of the trip. We walked up to enjoy the stunning views, then took the cable car back down just for the experience 🚡 My son was so happy picking strawberries too 🍓🥰 A big thank you to our tour guide Alvin — he’s bilingual and speaks Chinese, English, and Korean so well! He was very informative and made the whole tour even more enjoyable. We had originally booked a slightly different itinerary, but the tour changed and there were not enough participants on our original date. The organisers were very efficient and communicated the changes and our options clearly. We and another pair ended up with a private van and driver, who dropped us at all the pick-up points on the itinerary. The whole process was very easy. The itinerary and meeting point instructions were very clear. We even had a K-drama list sent to us on Google Maps so we could find the locations ourselves, which was so helpful. We had almond lattes in the cafe which they filmed Sol's house in Lovely Runner, and the small shop they also filmed at had some Lovely Runner merchandise as well. Starfield Library in Suwon is much better than the one in Gangnam, and we had plenty of time to shop in the department store as well. There was also a reenactment at the temporary palace near the fortress which was great. Very impressed with the tour organisers!

Top days of our trip to Seoul, no doubt! We went to the Library, then to the Market, then to the Fortress and finally to the Folk Village. Our guide, Johan, changed the intinerary a little bit in order to avoid the heat. What a good call. Johan is also one of the nicest guys on Earth. He drove us and explained us some things about each place, but also gave us time to enjoy ourselves there (which we appreciate). The performance with the led lights in the Folk Village was amazing. Try to watch it (it’s at night) if you can. Slow Korea has been a very good experience for us. They deserve +100 reviews with 5 stars IMO 👏🏼👏🏼

Excellent experience — it genuinely felt like a private VIP tour. Our group was very small, only around 11 people, and we had two guides, one for the English-speaking guests and one for the Chinese-speaking guests. Everything was extremely well organized from beginning to end. The service was excellent, the transportation was very comfortable, and having such a small group made the whole experience feel relaxed, personal and almost like a private tour. The guides were attentive, professional and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. I really enjoyed every part of the itinerary, and there was honestly nothing I could fault. One of the best organized tours I have taken in Korea. Excellent value and truly VIP-level service. Highly recommended!
