Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Night View Historical Experience

Our guide, Yu-san, spoke excellent Japanese, which was a huge help for me since I only speak Japanese. Yu-san, being from Suwon, shared detailed and enjoyable stories about Hwaseong Fortress, including interesting trivia, making our two-hour tour very fulfilling. If I have the chance to visit Suwon again, I would definitely ask Yu-san to be my guide and learn more from them. Please note that you will be walking continuously for two hours, albeit at a leisurely pace, so we recommend wearing sneakers or comfortable shoes.

I joined this tour because I wanted to enjoy the night view of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress 🇰🇷✨. As a result, I am so glad I participated! From dusk, the color of the sky gradually changed, and the illuminated fortress walls and gates were so magical. I was able to enjoy a completely different charm of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress compared to the daytime. In particular, the sunset and the cityscape of Suwon viewed from the fortress walls, the hot air balloon floating in the night sky, and the lighting effects were very impressive, and there were plenty of spots to take photos and videos. It was also great to be able to efficiently enjoy the highlights with a tour rather than going around on my own. And above all, our guide Yu's explanations and stories were so entertaining, filled with fascinating details about history and the background of how Suwon Hwaseong Fortress was built. I have been to South Korea many times, but this was a night where I could experience a different atmosphere from Seoul and think, 'This side of Korea is wonderful, too.' I highly recommend this for a women's trip or for those who want to visit a place a little different from the usual Seoul trip ♡. Next time, I would love to visit Suwon Hwaseong Fortress during the day, too 😊

Thanks to the delightful guidance of Yu-san, also known as Tama-chan, two hours flew by in an instant. At the end, she accompanied us by bus to Hwaseomun Gate, where we were able to enjoy a projection mapping show. This was my second visit to Hwaseong Fortress, but Yu-san showed us places I hadn't noticed before, and areas I would never have ventured into without her guidance, making it a very meaningful experience. If I have the chance, I would definitely love to have her guide us again. Thank you, Yu-san.

Susu was so kind and knowledgable! She shared the coolest facts and knew all the best spots for me and my partner to take pictures! There was even an issue where our route was closed off because of the holiday but she was able to reroute easily! The fortress was so beautiful especially at sunset, highly recommend!

I booked this tour with my friend's family from Australia, and it ended up being one of the best parts of their trip. Even though I'm from Suwon, I learned so many new things from our local guide. The stories were interesting, fun, and made me see my own city in a completely different way. Walking along the fortress at sunset and then seeing the beautiful night views was something I won't forget. It was peaceful, beautiful, and really special.
