Fantastic 5.0
Enjoyed rhe trip to Noosa Heads thoroughly. There was a surfing event that day so the beach was full of people. Driver was kind enough to drop us at the park so we only need to walk the. Boardwalk in one direction only.

I participated in the 2-hour Guided Mangroves and Mansions Tour with Kayak Noosa. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with information such as the meeting time and location. Remember to bring your own water bottle, apply sunscreen, and wear sunglasses!!! This is the activity where you're most likely to get a tan!! However, if you forget to bring water, you can buy it at a small coffee shop on the wooden bridge for about AUD$3. Also, on the day of the tour, some spots have big waves and some participants fell into the water (the water isn't deep), so it's best to wear a swimsuit, and if you bring your phone, bring a waterproof case!! I originally planned to each use a single kayak with my partner, but on the day, the instructor directly informed us that we would be sitting in one kayak. The instructor didn't explain the reason, but you will understand once you start, as it is an activity that requires physical strength. I was glad that I didn't choose to paddle a kayak by myself, because after an hour into the activity, my arms were already very tired, and there were some places where the waves were bigger, requiring more strength to cross. Two people can take turns resting, and also take photos of each other. On the day of the activity, you will first put on a life jacket at the meeting point and be briefed on how to use the kayak, after which you will get directly into the kayak. At first, it will be a little awkward because you have to coordinate with your partner and paddle evenly to the left and right, but you will adapt quickly. The instructor will always pay attention to and care about our condition, making us feel very safe during the process. The instructor introduces the mangroves and various creatures along the way, allowing us to learn about this protected natural environment. I was very happy that we were finally able to see the "very fast and hard-to-find little tail"! This was my first time kayaking, and I thoroughly enjoyed this activity. Noosa is my favorite place on this trip to Australia, and you must experience it if you have the chance! *If possible, I hope the instructor can add some time for participants to take photos along the way, after all, this mangrove forest is so beautiful and worth taking photos to commemorate!

What to know before visiting Noosa

Quick snapshot of Noosa and what to expect

Noosa is a coastal escape known for water activities, cruises and outdoor pursuits, with demand that spikes sharply in the peak summer month and then eases for much of the year. Most bookings fall into water-based experiences and cruises, giving the town a strong maritime and beach-focused rhythm across the year.

Best times to visit and how prices move

Klook booking data shows demand peaks in January and bottoms out in August, so January brings the busiest atmosphere while August is the quietest. Prices trend separately from demand at times: according to Klook data May is typically the priciest month for activities, while July is usually the cheapest, roughly 37% lower than the priciest month. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for July–August; for peak-season atmosphere and the liveliest activity options, January is the month to pick. Note that prices and demand don’t always move together here — the costliest month isn’t the busiest — so you can sometimes avoid crowds or higher prices depending on your timing.

Tips for travellers

Most travellers book activities a few days ahead: Klook data indicates typical bookings happen around four days before travel, with many last-minute options available about a day out and some early-booking activity by roughly two weeks. That makes Noosa great for flexible, short-notice plans, but if you’re travelling in January consider locking in must-do water activities a little earlier to secure spots. Use Klook to compare available dates and times so you can balance crowd levels and price when you book.
