Malang Regency

The two guides were practically comedians, haha! They were so funny and entertaining. I was also really satisfied because they took photos and videos almost like a movie. But at the end, when receiving the video via Google Drive link, my video wasn't showing up, so I requested them to re-upload it, and I was able to receive it after a few days. You don't get as wet as you might think. Water sprays all over your body like a mist, but it dries quickly. Unless you jump into the water, you won't get very wet, and the level of wetness is up to you. I thought I'd get completely soaked, so I wore a swimsuit under my clothes, but I came back dry (?). The stairs are steeper than I expected. Wearing aqua shoes that look like sneakers was a brilliant move. The reason this tour departs early in the morning is because a whole truckload of Western tourists arrive in the morning. You need to go before then to take photos easily without waiting. I was going to fly my drone, but the guide strongly advised against it, saying that many people have lost their drones here. I only took one, and rather than losing signal, the GPS only caught 14 satellites. There's no problem flying it. If you're going to take a vertical shot from afar with a Mavic, you can launch it from the parking lot, so there's no need to carry everything all the way there. If you're going to fly it right in front of the waterfall, be prepared to give your drone a shower.

Afternoon tour is good, as you don’t lose sleep travelling at night, and it’s not crowded at all going up to Mt Bromo. It was also great that the local agency could arrange for us to leave/return to Surabaya, where we were staying. Note that Surabaya to Malang takes close to 2 hours on the road.

I'm glad I chose the product departing at 6:30 AM. We had a pickup appointment at 7:00 AM, so we had breakfast at the hotel before departing. Even an elderly grandmother could climb Mount Bromo. The weather was also great. As expected, it was a magnificent sight.

I had Fais as my driver and translator for when the guides don’t speak English. His ability to communicate in English is great and we could have a conversation about life in Indonesia and his own stories to share! He was patient and polite. He felt safe to be with throughout the different attractions we went to. The honey farm was abit underwhelming but I had a great time at the tea plantation as well as the rainbow village. However, I’m always for supporting the local tourism industry!

The Bromo tour was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen in my life, and every moment felt surreal and unforgettable. Although it was raining on the way from Surabaya, we were lucky to arrive at King Kong Hill under clear skies, allowing us to enjoy the full view. We also had the best driver and a wonderfully kind guide who made the whole journey even more comfortable and enjoyable. The entire experience was so perfect that I have absolutely no regrets choosing this tour. 참고로 쌀쌀은 했지만 엄청 춥지는 않았고, 한국 가을 날씨 정도로 느껴졌습니다~ (11월22일 기준) I was especially grateful for our guide, Melati, who made the experience even more enjoyable. She was kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and talented guide. She guided us perfectly and showed us the best spots. She also took amazing photos for us, helping us create memories. If I ever visit Bromo again, I would love to join her tour once more. Thank you so much, Melati!

This trip was beyond imagination, even though I didn't see the blue flame on the day I went. The vehicle was comfortable with ample legroom, and Mr. Rudi was a gentleman and punctual. If you like swimming, the hotel has a pool. Also, when we departed at 11:00 PM, the hotel packed the rice that we didn't redeem the coupon for in time, and Ms. Judi brought it to the car. It was very impressive. I encourage everyone to try this experience once in their life. Watching the sunrise at Mount Bromo is not difficult, but at Ijen, the path is quite steep for a long distance. I recommend being in reasonably good physical condition.

Scenery: I just finished a solo trip to Bromo and Ijen. It was amazing to see both volcanoes so close up. For anyone worried about the hike up Ijen, it’s really not that difficult if you exercise regularly.The scenery was simply majestic, but the team is what made it so good. Guide: Big thanks to Edi, Fauzi, Sulis, and other members of the tour team for organizing such a unique experience. I will certainly find them again next time I'm in Indonesia.
