Transport in Xiamen

Collection of tickets at 东渡码头 on second floor was a breeze. Met our tour guide at Gulangyu pier. He is a resident on the island. Enjoyed the 2hrs tour walking tour with his explanation and ended the tour with a visit to a tea house which he led us. Worth a visit!

The staff will reach out to you 1 day before the trip to confirm on pick up time. For me, we connected via wechat. The driver arrived on time and ride was very smooth. The seats are also quite ok! Overall, my driver, Mr Chen, dont just bring you to the 2 places here, but also a lot of other tulous as well! The lunch spot was delicious too ☺️ The trip was soooo worth it, and highly recommended for a easy and smooth trip, because all the locations are quite far apart, hence booking this was essential.

The counter at Daxing airport is not open as it’s still undergoing maintenance. The contact person mail the metro cards to our hotel via express delivery that arrived on the morning when we checked into our hotel.

everything went well. despite the fact we can’t speak mandarin, we used translation app and everything went smooth. beautiful sightseeing. safe drive and nice driver.

Our driver-guide was Yan :) The day before, we had a brief introduction and discussed our itinerary. We met at 9 AM and started our journey. I was surprised because he looked so young, haha. Thanks to his smart planning and well-organized route, the trip was smooth and comfortable. I really appreciated him opening and closing the doors for us every time we got in and out of the car. He always made sure to confirm our meeting point after we got off, and he arrived quickly when we contacted him after sightseeing. And I'm so, so grateful that he introduced us to delicious restaurants and took us there :) It was a day where he safely took us back to the hotel at the very end~~~

The car was clean and comfortable. Despite the communication difficulties, the driver was friendly and helpful.

flexible in timing, 2 hours to reach Yongding Tulou. We requested for later departure from hotel to avoid tour groups which tend to go early in the morning before leaving for lunch or starting the tour after lunch.

Service: We really enjoyed this trip. We are grateful to our driver, Master Pan, for taking us to our destination safely and enthusiastically. Moreover, his driving skills were superb; we didn't feel any discomfort from sitting in the car all day. He also helped us find a local tour guide who provided very detailed explanations, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of Tulou culture. We highly recommend hiring a tour guide so you don't just end up looking at buildings. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner of a Tulou. And the restaurant that Master Pan recommended was also delicious. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the entire trip.
