Fitzroy island was beautiful! Very scenic & tranquil. The tickets to the ferry were easy to use, with straightforward instructions sent to your email 3-4 days before your actual departure date. Do however note that facilities at Fitzroy Island are limited… Only 3 toilets next to Foxy’s Cafe and visitors aren’t allowed to use the area at Fitzroy Island Resort… Remember to bring along sunblock and picnic mats!! If you’re able to snorkel, little fishes can always be spotted near the shoreline.

Dieses Mal wurden wir zu den äußeren Riffen Milln Reef und Flynn Reef gebracht und sahen sogar Wale und Delfine. Die äußeren Riffe sind viel schöner als die inneren Riffe, aber man muss zuerst zwei Stunden starken Wellengang ertragen, um dorthin zu gelangen. Es lohnt sich jedoch sehr. Es wird dringend empfohlen, vorher eine Reisetablette einzunehmen, um Enttäuschungen zu vermeiden.

this is a great trip. it’s very relaxed and when you reach the island you have the freedom to do what you want in terms of paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, etc. it was pretty cold and rained a lot but still managed to do a fair bit. just relaxing on the beach was not something to enjoy. the boat ride, the crew, the croc spotting was all great. Andy’s knowledge and enthusiasm of all things reef was an honour to be a part of. morning tea and cake was a nice pick me up. lunch was lovely. there was no afternoon tea but all too full from lunch to miss it.

Super lustig, sehr empfehlenswert! Die Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr enthusiastisch und freundlich. Wir waren eine Familie von sechs Personen, und die beiden, die in ihrer Mobilität eingeschränkt waren, wurden sehr gut betreut. Alle hatten viel Spaß, der ganze Prozess war sehr entspannt und angenehm. Gelegentlich gab es aufregendere Abschnitte, nur das Wasser war etwas kalt, und das Toilettengehen sowie das Umziehen nach dem Ende mussten im Freien selbst organisiert werden.

Wir haben den Transfer zur Fitzroy Island genutzt. Das zweistöckige Schiff fuhr pünktlich ab und kam pünktlich an, was uns ein sicheres Gefühl gab. Wenn Ihr Ziel ist, die Insel zu erkunden und die Landschaft zu genießen, ohne ins Meer zu gehen, dann ist die Nachmittagsabfahrt ausreichend. Allerdings dauert der Fußweg zum beliebten Nudey Beach und das Fotografieren dort überraschend lange, sodass nicht viel Zeit für andere Orte blieb. Insgesamt war die Reise komfortabel und reibungslos, und ich bin sehr zufrieden.

our guide name was John. we had one of the best experiences ever. the tour company was really good but shout out to our guide John who made it really fun and adventurous. he is really knowledgeable and knows his stuff so well. this tour won’t have been great without him. thank you and would definitely recommend it.

Sehr aufregende 30 Minuten voller Adrenalin und Spaß... wir haben uns wahrscheinlich 10 Mal oder öfter gedreht... wunderschöne Aussicht auf dem Wasser. Sehr empfehlenswert. Sie haben auch sehr schöne Fotos und Videos gemacht (separat zu erwerben).

I was initially worried about finding the shuttle, but it was the bus with the rafting picture on it, so it was easy to spot. When you board, they'll confirm your details and ask if you need to rent shoes; you can also wear your own flip-flops. Along the way, there are stops for restrooms and a small town called Tully, where you can buy food and find a supermarket for lunch. Afterward, we continued to our destination. As soon as we got off the bus, we put on the wetsuits, thermal vests, life vests, and helmets they provided. It was great because the thermal vests were very warm. You need to wear your own pants (it's best to wear your swimsuit underneath). On the bus, they'll tell you who your instructor is, and once you're geared up, you can find them directly. Outdoor activities really depend on the instructor, so having a good one makes it a lot of fun! On the way back, we also stopped at a restaurant for dinner, and then we looked at the day's photos. You can split the cost of the photos with others on your boat, so it's quite a good deal, and the pictures turned out great! Safety: Very safe! We wore life vests, and the instructors were very professional!
