Louvre Museum

The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre) in Paris is one of the world’s most renowned cultural institutions, attracting art lovers globally. Originally a fortress built by Philip II, the present Louvre Palace became a public museum after the French Revolution, housing an extensive collection of paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts. It features works seized from the royal collection, confiscated church property, and acquisitions from the French Empire. Visitors enter through the main entrance, marked by the glass pyramid, leading to the underground lobby and eight curatorial departments, including Egyptian antiquities, Near Eastern antiquities, Islamic art, and Greek, Etruscan, and Roman antiquities. The Louvre’s collection features masterworks such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, displayed in the Grande Galerie and Musée Napoléon. The museum’s history spans from its origins as a fortress to its transformation during the French Revolution and its role in the Second French Empire. While the Louvre’s influence extends globally, including the creation of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, it is often compared to the Musée d’Orsay, which focuses on 19th- and early 20th-century art. With deep ties to France’s history, from Louis XIV to Louis XVIII, the Louvre primarily serves as a bridge between diverse cultures and artistic eras. A escorted tour through its exhibition spaces and Cour Carrée offers an unparalleled journey through ancient civilizations and nation’s masterpieces, making it a must-visit museum.

Fantastic 5.0
The arrangement leading up to departure is easy, I don't read nor understand Chinese, but the team was very helpful and is always in constant contact, sending reminders to make sure you get to the pickup point. The abbey tickets were also sent a day in advance, together with the group chat, both WhatsApp and Wechat. The journey there take about 4 hours with a stop in between. Once we reach, we're given 3 hours to explore. Ride the free shuttle right up to the doorstep of Mont St Michel. We were lucky to have clear skies and a sunny day. The guide will inform the time and location for leaving and it's another 4 hours back to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, we were taken to a Chinese restaurant where we're given dumplings that was part of the package. You can opt in to order food at this place at your own cost. Absolutely recommended. We had a small group of 7, so the van was comfortable. Thank you for letting me sit in front since I was the first to arrive at the pickup point.

We arrived late for our tour due to heavy traffic in Paris. Fortunately, the tour guide from City Vision quickly arranged for us to join another tour. She escorted us to the Palace of Versailles and ensured we were settled with the new guide. This location is a must-visit when in Paris, but be sure to dedicate a full day to explore its vast grounds. I recommend taking the little train within the gardens, which allows for unlimited hop-on, hop-off access (just remember to keep your ticket receipt).

Fantastic 5.0
The three-course meal was, simply put, great. I was genuinely impressed by the quality and execution of every dish. From the starter to the dessert, each course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh and prepared with care. This isn't just a scenic ride; it's a fantastic dining experience that elevates the standard of river cruise cuisine.

A very romantic experience. Enjoy a slow drive through the Parisian sights in a well-equipped, converted bus while savoring French cuisine. The pan-fried cod and duck breast were very delicious. It would have been perfect with a glass of red or white wine.😍
