Rent a car in Bali
Explore Bali at Your Own Pace
Renting a car in Bali offers the freedom to discover the island's diverse attractions on your own schedule. From the serene beaches of Seminyak to the cultural hub of Ubud, a personal vehicle allows you to experience the island's beauty without the constraints of public transport. Drive to the iconic Tanah Lot Temple in less than an hour from most tourist areas, or venture to the picturesque Tegallalang Rice Terraces with ease.
Inspect Your Rental Thoroughly
Before you hit the road, give your rental car a detailed check. Look out for any pre-existing damage and report it to the rental agency to prevent any misunderstandings when you return the car. Documenting the vehicle's condition with photos or videos can serve as proof. Familiarize yourself with the rental contract, including the policies on mileage, fuel, insurance, and any additional charges. Remember to refuel the car before returning it to avoid extra fees.
Child Safety Measures
In Bali, it's crucial to ensure the safety of young passengers. While not all rental companies may offer child seats, it's important to request them if you're traveling with children. Verify the availability of the appropriate car seats and whether they will be installed prior to your arrival. Driving without proper child restraints can lead to legal issues.
Timing Your Travel
Bali's roads can become congested, particularly during peak tourist seasons and rush hours. Plan your journeys to avoid the busiest times, usually early morning and late afternoon, when locals commute. Being mindful of the traffic can save you time and stress, allowing you to enjoy your travels more fully.
Navigating with Ease
While Bali's roadways can be complex, a rental car equipped with GPS navigation can simplify your travel experience. This technology can guide you to destinations like the Uluwatu Temple or the art markets of Ubud without the high costs associated with taxis. Enjoy the convenience of exploring at your leisure, whether you're heading to distant beaches or mountainous regions.
Convenient Pickup Locations
Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, you'll find various car rental agencies ready to serve you. Choose from a selection of vehicles to suit your preferences and start your Balinese adventure right from the airport. Look for reputable companies that offer clear rental terms and reliable customer service.
Understanding Local Driving Laws
In Bali, as in the rest of Indonesia, driving is on the left side of the road. Road signs are typically in both Indonesian and English, but having a vehicle with a reliable navigation system is beneficial, especially for rural areas. Be cautious of motorbikes, which are prevalent on Balinese roads, and always adhere to traffic laws, including stopping at red lights and avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fantastic Calya Toyota 10 day
Car condition was acceptable albeit more cleaning could be done as there were draps of rubbish here and there in glove compartments, side doors etc.
Service crew were responsive, courteous and helpful. Pick up and drop off right at the airport which makes it convenient.
