This was a lifetime of memories experience. Okada is a professional of his craft and makes it all so personal. His staff is friendly and customize your kimono to your liking. The tea ceremony is top notch and intimate. I could not recommend them more. My wife's hair came out so perfect she went back for a second hairstyle after we finished.
Wow! The quality and authenticity of these kimonos was amazing. The staff was so kind even for those of us that didn’t speak the same language. What’s more is the tea ceremony was so peaceful, educational, and meaningful. Wonderful staff and overall experience. We kept our kimonos on the rest of the day to take photos and enjoy historic streets of Kyoto. Great value for money.
This was an amazing experience. The host was really knowledgeable and friendly; their English was good. They were exceptionally kind to my daughter and very patient. The whole thing felt like stepping into another world. I couldn't recommend this enough.
Absolutly amazing experience! The kimono rental was guided very good. choosing every piece yourself and creating your own unique set with guidance from experienced people. The stroll true the district in kimone was stunning! The ceremony itself was out of this world. I never expected the kind, cozy and safe atmosphere we rescieved in this two on one session. She explained every step, guided us respectfully and with precision in every step of the way! We learned more then just the way of thee, but also the way of life. Our japan trip after this experience was so much richer after the life lessons we learned. Afterwards we had some free time to relax and talk with our ceremonie master. She's very open and social and has a lovely personality. She offered us private brewed Sake from the master and my god that was something out of this world! for us, this was a 10/10 experience wich we will definitely come back for on our next japan trip! Arigato for the lovely and amazing experience!
This experience is a must! the kimono experience and the tea ceremony. everyone was so sweet and accommodating. we learned a lot about the value and way of a tea ceremony. This is one of the rare Japanese only run kimono/tea ceremony companies in Kyoto, so I am happy to have given them business. Very authentic experience.
Quick and efficient! everyone is kind and respectful. We especially enjoyed the teachings and tranquility of the tea ceremony. Would 100% reccommend and would do again!!
This experience was the highlight of Kyoto. The intentionality of the ceremony is beyond beautiful. Yuka was the best host ! Her English was great, so it was very easy to understand. Yuka was informative , caring and made us feel very comfortable when it was our turn to make the matcha. My experience couldn’t have gone better from start to finish. The rental place is next door , so it is very convenient to be able to get it all nearly in one place !
my experience at the tea ceremony was so beautiful! wearing the kimono and learning about Japanese culture was truly an honor. definitely one of my favorite parts of my trip! location: beautiful store!! instructor: Yuka was absolutely wonderful! She is lovely and kind, and welcomed us to a special space with a warm heart.
Amazing experience if you are looking to enjoy a traditional tea ceremony & kimono. Staff was super helpful and provided much interesting information about the ceremony and the kimonos. Very recommended!!!
We had a wonderful tea ceremony experience wearing traditional, made-in-Japan kimonos. It was an amazing and deeply meaningful experience, beautifully explained by Okada, who shared the spiritual significance behind each part of the ceremony. We are so grateful to have been part of such a profound and mindful tradition. We highly recommend the tea ceremony — especially while wearing a kimono — to everyone. It’s definitely worth it!
