Tour en rickshaw per Higashiyama, Kyoto

Our guide, Daichi-san is very nice, friendly and sociable with a great sense of humour. He started off with meeting us at a spot closer to our convenience, and checking with us our preferred route that suited our 60-min tour. We had a good time going around the Gion area with him sharing with us stories and little anecdotes of the sights that we probably would not have known if we had walked around by ourselves. He also stopped every now and then to help take quite a number of photos and videos that looked quite professionally done. It was an amazing experience overall and we felt it was worth every yen we paid for the tour. We would definitely recommend this activity, and especially, Daichi-san as the tour guide for anyone who would like to try this rickshaw tour experience.

We had an unforgettable experience with the Kyoto Higashiyama Rickshaw Tour. Our guide, Motoki Kageyama, was incredibly kind, respectful, and full of positive energy throughout the entire tour. He made sure my daughter felt special and made the experience even more meaningful with his thoughtful drawings and notes. The tour route was beautiful and relaxing, and we learned a lot along the way. Still, highly recommended and many thanks again to Motoki-san. The rickshaw tour is definitely a must-try option in Kyoto. It offers an extraordinary and immersive experience that familiarizes tourists with different aspects of Kyoto: for tourists who expect good photos and more local travelling information, the driver will give us the best recommendations for an easier and more well-plan trip; for travelers who expect an in-depth experience in this old capital of Japan, the driver could also share information and knowledge about the history, culture and language of Kyoto. My rickshaw driver, Yoshinori Ishikawa-san, demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and professionalism for this 2-hour ride: conversations with Ishikawa-san was easy and pleasing, which definitely gave me a lingering satisfaction in travelling Kyoto; his professional photographic and filming skills also enriched my impressions of this city. In a nutshell, this tour was incomparable and its uniqueness definitely defined the image of Kyoto in my mind! Highly recommended!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our time riding rickshaws with Gohan. He is well-educated and knows how to create a joyful experience for us.

Es ist schon ein wenig ungewöhnlich, sich von einem Menschen ziehen zu lassen. Gleichzeitig vermittelt der Guide jederzeit das Gefühl, dass das in Ordnung ist. Mehr noch, er scheint es wirklich aus Überzeugung zu tun. Und die Begeisterung für Kyōto und seine Schrein und Tempel hat er einfach großartig vermittelt. A very nice way to see Kyoto and have really nice photos taken along the ride. Our rider was really friendly and told us many fun facts about the attractions we saw during the rickshaw ride. We went during the cherry blossom season, so the view was amazing and felt very tranquil. Also a good way to rest after a long day of exploring Kyoto on foot.

非常值得，非常推薦大家一試！因為帶著爸爸媽媽，希望他們出來玩不要過於勞累，因此下訂1個小時人力車服務。剛到據點時，迎接我們的是市田裕喜先生，燦爛的笑容非常有親和力，用著簡單的中文招呼我們，一下就拉近彼此的距離。我們預約了3部車，分別是市田先生、村上拓督先生（Takuto）和大原慎也先生，當天一直陸續有毛毛雨，在上車前我有點擔心的詢問下雨是否會影響行程，市田先生馬上展示可蓋上的車頂，及腿上會蓋有防水布，且因當天天氣較冷，椅墊上還有先預熱過的暖暖包，及兩條毛毯，讓我們可以完全放心的開始行程，。我是搭Takuto的車，Takuto的英文非常的好，即使因為腔調造成的不了解，也能很有耐心的轉換其他的說法形容給我們知道，路途中我們因為擔心他太累詢問狀況，也能滿臉笑容的回覆我們「it’s ok!」，讓人可以感受到Takuto對這份工作的熱情，也非常謝謝有Takuto專業的解說及帶領，讓我們用更輕鬆的方式遊京都。當天大原先生載我的爸爸媽媽，在行程中得知大原先生剛執業2年多，而爸爸的體態較不標準，行程中感覺讓大原先生過度辛苦了，離開之後還相當擔心大原先生的情況，希望沒有造成大原先生身體上的不適。過程中可以發現車子都相當整潔，且白鐵的部分都是乾淨的發亮，另外在停車拍照的時候，車夫會幫忙卸下防水布，讓畫面更好看，完全讓人可以感受到對職業的尊重及細心。非常謝謝惠比壽屋提供的服務，雖然在訂購的時候認為價錢不低，但在體驗之後可以明顯感受，車夫的努力及專業是非常值得的！

Great rockshaw ride, my only regret is only booking for 30 mins. I enjoyed the sightseeing of Gion district with a very knowledgeable guide, Daichi was amazing! He was excellent at navigating the small alleyways of Gion. And super fast as well. Awesome conversation and strong English! Thank you so much!

The experience with the traditional rickshaw in Japan was unique from the very first moment. During the ride, Moto made the experience truly special. He spoke incredibly fluent English, which made communication very easy and comfortable, and allowed him to explain everything with great clarity. He was extremely informative and always tried to give as detailed explanations as possible, about Japanese culture. Every question I had, he genuinely knew how to answer, and in a way that showed deep knowledge and real passion for what he does. What impressed me the most was that he was also familiar with elements from my home country, which made the conversation even more interesting and engaging. This was not just a ride, but a truly authentic cultural experience. I highly and enthusiastically recommend it! You should definitely try this specific rickshaw experience and make sure to ask for Moto at this spot — it is absolutely worth it.
