Yehliu & Jiufen & Shifen Day Tour (Optional Tiaoshi Coast)

I thought it would be difficult to visit Jiufen and Shifen on my own, so I researched and found this tour! I was able to go to all the places I wanted to see, plus Yehliu Geopark and Shifen Waterfall, making it a highly satisfying tour! The price was reasonable, and there was a Japanese-speaking guide. I highly recommend this tour, as it covers so much! The guide explained things in both English and Japanese during the car ride. They even took orders in advance for bubble tea, which is half the price of what you'd find in Taipei, as well as chicken stuffed with rice and peanut ice cream crepes! The guide also pointed out the best photo spots in Jiufen, so I didn't miss any opportunities to take pictures! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Jiufen from Taipei! We had a very pleasant tour experience! It’s a good thing that we had a sunny weather, it made the tour more enjoyable. We were given enough time to explore Yehliu Geopark, Shifen Old Street, Shifen Waterfalls - and more time shopping at Jiufen Old Street. What made this tour extra convenient is that the agency already have partner stores that give discounts when we buy from them. We also got to pre-order our meals and lanterns which helped us skip the long queues. And of course, our tour guide Dillian did a great job in sharing with us a quick history of each place we went to. She would also help us communicate with vendors who don’t speak English, and she overall had great rapport with our group.

This was an excellent tour. A tour is definitely better than going by yourself! I bought a Taiwan Pass this time, but I also booked a tour because I thought I'd get tired, and it was absolutely the right decision! You can nap a bit on the bus to the next destination, and if you want to leave souvenirs or other luggage, you can store it on the bus. This allows you to explore the next sightseeing spot unencumbered, which is so much easier without carrying your bags! I highly recommend it! If you're considering it, everyone should use this tour! The guide sent an email the day before. It stated, "You are number [X] tomorrow. We will meet at 8:05 AM. Let's have fun!" and included a photo of the meeting spot. The next day, they greeted us with a smile, confirmed the number of participants, and once everyone was there, we departed! This time, explanations were given in both Japanese and English. Inside the bus, the guide tallied up orders for recommended drinks, chicken and ice cream in Jiufen, lanterns, and entrance fees. Upon arrival at the location, those who ordered received their items, and payment was collected on the bus afterward. Since our Taiwan Pass included entrance fees and lanterns, we only ordered drinks and food. During our tour, some other participants were about 15 minutes late for the meeting time. The driver seemed quite angry, but the guide kindly took care of them. On the way back, the guide suggested a group selfie, took a photo of everyone on the bus with their phone, and sent it to us before we reached the drop-off point. The bus was full with about 40 people. The service was excellent from the day before until the end of the tour. If anyone else is traveling to Taiwan, I would definitely recommend this tour! We took the morning tour, and the waterfall had a lot of water due to recent rain, which was impressive. It was also great to see rocks of various shapes, and at the lantern spot, the scenery was beautiful. The staff took photos and videos for us, suggested various poses, and the pictures turned out great. It was also good that it didn't rain in Jiufen. I truly recommend it!

Our tour of Northern Taiwan was absolute perfection, taking us from the stunning rock formations of Yehliu Geopark and the scenic Tiaoshi Coast to the magical sky lanterns of Shifen Old Street. We were mesmerized by the beautiful contrast of the Yin Yang Sea, Shuinandong, and the Golden Waterfall before ending our night in the glowing, atmospheric alleys of Jiufen Old Street. What truly made the day unforgettable was our guide, Kevin, who was incredibly kind, helpful, informative, and hilarious throughout the trip. He was also strictly organized with time, which kept our ambitious itinerary running flawlessly without ever making us feel rushed. We highly recommend this tour and Kevin to anyone visiting Taiwan!

We had an amazing experience on the North Coast Taiwan tour, and our tour guide, Tommy, made the trip even more memorable. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, well-organized, and always approachable throughout the entire tour. Tommy shared interesting facts about each destination and recommended some great local food to try, which made our experience even more enjoyable. When we arrived in Shifen, our sky lanterns were already prepared, making the activity smooth and hassle-free. Dillian made our tour smooth and pretty chill by preordering our meals and entrance tickets. She shared tips and history about the places we visited. She introduced rice stuffed chicken wing and peanut icecream with cilantro. It was raining but we still was able to enjoy and have a safe travel. Thank you!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My mom and I had an amazing time on this North Coast Taiwan tour. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and every stop was well worth visiting. We also loved the local food we got to try along the way, and some of our favorite finds were thanks to Tommy's recommendations. A special thank you to our tour guide, Tommy, who made the entire experience so enjoyable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Taiwan's culture, history, and hidden gems. His stories and local insights made each destination more meaningful, and he always made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time.

Second timer here, and I commend the itinerary of this your provider, I feel that we are somehow ahead of time compare to the rest of the tours. Our tour guide Mr Joseph was funny & bubbly trying to make the tiring day feel lighter. Cons: this activity is not for elderly as it requires walking many flights of stairs and slopes, I travelled with 60s parents they we're able to finish the tour though they we're physically exhausted. Tips: Wear light clothes as it's humid though luckily the weather was a little nicer though you'll still sweat!

James Bear is a nice and humorous tour guide. He provides a lot of great information such as food recommendations, shortcuts and best photo spot before each tour area. The trip is organised, well prepared and smooth, though it’s a rainy day. Thus, u don’t need to worry too much and just enjoy the trip. In addition, it is highly recommended if you are a solo traveler since the tour provides safe and convenient transportation with tour bus and u can meet new friends. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience! It worths a try!
