The Wen Ding Phonograph Museum gives me the feeling of a place full of nostalgia. The museum houses a variety of old-fashioned phonographs, vinyl records and related audio equipment, as if it can allow people to travel through time and go back to the past to listen to the charm of music from that era. The exhibits in the museum are well preserved and the explanations are very detailed, allowing people to not only appreciate the exquisite phonograph craftsmanship, but also understand the evolution of music playback technology. After visiting the museum, the cafe on the first floor is a great place to rest. The Sicilian coffee has a balanced sweet and sour taste, with a strong citrus aroma, and is very refreshing. The crepe is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich taste that goes perfectly with coffee. Overall, this visit was an experience full of culture and delicious food that made people linger.
2024/11/30 It is cheaper to buy tickets at Klook in advance. For the tour, you have to fill out the form on Facebook 3 days in advance to make an appointment. I was worried that there would be many people to make an appointment for the tour, but it turned out that we were the only group to make an appointment that morning ~ it felt like a one-to-one explanation by a dedicated person Great! The tour guide was very attentive in explaining, and we also felt her love for phonographs, from drum music boxes, disc music boxes, phonographs, shellac/vinyl records to modern CD streaming, letting us understand the entire "phonograph" Historical evolution, I really recommend everyone to book a guided tour! Don’t miss the music theater at 11:30 and 14:30. Exhibits will be used to play music on site, and you can feel the different sound quality effects! The first floor is a cafe and souvenir sales. You can take a break here after shopping. The whole exhibition experience is very good. I highly recommend everyone to visit👍
The museum is so well designed and intricate in detail… sharing the history of the evolution of music technology. Amazing to visit with live demonstration twice a day too!
a nice and interesting place if you want to spend a quiet afternoon learning something new. get a chance to test your DJ-ing skills too
You can learn about the development history of the gramophone~ It is also recommended to book a tour at 14:30 for an additional fee of 100 yuan. The tour guide is very good. After the tour, you can just go to the 15:30 gramophone theater and actually listen to each difference. The music played by the gramophone is super cool, and there is also a DJ turntable where you can actually play the music yourself, which is super fun😁 There is also a cafe on the first floor, and you can get discounts on drinks with your ticket👍🏾
The exhibition is about the historical evolution of phonograph technology and showcases machines from various periods. The exhibits are very well maintained and can still actually make sounds. The guide's explanation was excellent, and you could feel her passion for vinyl.
After the guided tour, you can get an in-depth understanding of the origin story behind the gramophone. Through the melodious sound of music, you feel like walking into the corridors of history. There is also a DJ scratch-deck trial area, which is worth a visit.
The museum complex cafe is very small but very interesting and worth a visit. It takes about 20 minutes to finish the tour. There are special exhibitions at 11:30 and 14:30, so be sure to arrive at that time.
