What to expect
Join this private tour! Your first stop will be at Kaba Sake Brewery. Due to the geography of Hida, surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges, the quality of rice and sake due to the pure mountain water is famous for being some of the finest in Japan. Next, you will ride the Shinhotaka Ropeway, one of the most unique ropeways in Japan. It has one of the largest elevation gains in the country as it climbs over 1000 meters up the side of the Hotake Mountain Range. Before returning to the city, you will visit the highest limestone cave in Japan. Hida Great Limestone Cave offers 800 meters of maze-like tunnels created 250 million years ago when the surrounding area was covered by ocean water. Explore tunnels illuminated with colorful lights, turning it from a cavern that would normally be pitch-black into a multicolored wonderland that is out of this world!
