Great 4.0
A small but informative museum. There are many exhibits detailing shipwrecks and what was unearthed on level one. Staff is friendly. Also, you'll get a can of coffee too!

Fantastic 5.0
A huge collection of pottery pieces ranging from imperial pieces to shipwreck pieces. You’ll learn how Chinese pottery has evolved over the years. I also got a personal tour from the curator himself and enjoyed learning more about the history of pottery. Thank you!

Fantastic 5.0
Money well spent! This place is very informative and tells the history of Penang as an interantional trade port through (mostly Chinese) ceramics. The museum is rather small but very informative and you can opt to join a free guided tour with their amazing staff. Plus, you can get a free drink at the cafe. I highly recommend visiting this place, it's money well spent.

The museum was filled with interesting information and porcelain pieces. The staffs were very helpful and informative. Can touch some of the display pieces unlike most museums.

In fact, this should be called the "Shipwreck Museum". Half of the collections were salvaged from the sea. The staff inside will explain the origins. We met Mr. Gan, a local from Penang. He is familiar with the history and explains clearly, and we benefited a lot. .

Fantastic 5.0
Good thing (one of the) to visit in Penang.
Why I enjoyed? I asked/heard from the tour guide the history of exhibits, how does museum know that the item not fake/copy, which one is the most expensive and how to understand the real price of the item?

Great 4.0
It's my fault, I went somewhere that isn't of my interest haha. But I went at right time because the ticket consisted of free entry for another exhibition plus a free drink which was delicious.
