What To Expect

Step into the fantastic Glass Museum Penang, the first ever museum of glass in Malaysia and home to the longest batik motif glass painting - both feats certified under the Malaysian Book of Records. As you enter, you'll be greeted by the Avenue of Stars, a long corridor surrounded by geometrical mirrors that seemingly takes you to a world of endless reflections and spaces. Continue through the museum and observe the skillfully made decorations made from recycled glass pieces plus other artworks displayed all around. Don't miss the chance to take creative shots in the kaleidoscope-like mirrors and the fluorescent "forest" that gives the illusion of a beautifully lit landscape. Take part in an immersive glass crafting class and take home your very own creation! Perfect for art lovers and appreciators, the Glass Museum Penang is a must for your itinerary.

Interesting place to visit . Small Though . Easy to redeem the tickets

Great experience to craft your own glass and a souvenir back. Please note if u want to add magnet or a hole with a red knot, you need to pay extra. Adding maximum 2 colours; pay extra. More than 2 colours; pay extra x2. They pushed us to get the crafted stickers. I Guess that will save them a lot of time with us not hanging around the seats for incoming visitors.

Went here on Monday afternoon, the staff showed us the glass workshop, explain some interesting information about making glass like sand blasting which we got to have a small souvenir (keychain or magnet) with option to customise, nice! but with small fee. while waiting for our work, went up stairs for some interesting photo ops like 3d effects. Very friendly staff.

Interesting place to visit. But it’s not really very fancy. Just a short period of time in the museum. Like about 10 small exhibits only. However you get to bring home your own small glass piece about a card size.
