The squids appear red in color, making it easy to tell when one is caught—it's a truly fun experience. The captain cooks the freshly caught squid right on the boat, adding local ingredients and seasonings, allowing you to enjoy the freshest, most aromatic squid snacks on the spot. The captain is not only skilled at squid fishing but also an excellent cook—really a great guy!

it was a nice experience for my children. nice boat. we caught lots of squid considering just in a a short time. we missed a lot too. unfortunately there was a storm so we need to go back. back in the pier, our catch was cooked and boatman is a great cook too. surely will go back again and catch more next time.

We chose to board the boat at 19:40 at Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter. The boat owner called at 18:00 on the day of the activity to remind us of the boarding time and to make sure that the participants knew the boarding location. It was very considerate. We boarded the boat on time at 19:20 and stopped in Tseung Kwan O for about 20 minutes to fish for cuttlefish. After introducing the equipment and squid fishing methods, we officially started. The waves were relatively large that night, and there were few squids. There were 3 times during the period when I caught fish, but unfortunately I didn’t catch any in the end... Fortunately, the boat owner had prepared in advance and stir-fried some vegetables. Collect the fishing gear and process the fish. It is rare to have a quick stir-fried cuttlefish (in the past, it was blanched), and the children praised it for its taste. 😋Each person had a bottle of water and a can of soda, a small stir-fry + fried fish. Although I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t catch any squid, it was a perfect end to the activity.

Amazing experience in Hong Kong! I've always wanted to try traditional handline fishing for squid, and the captain made it very easy for me to learn! Shortly after, he cooked us up 2 delicious meals with the fresh squid. Outstanding services and hospitality. Can't wait to do it again!

I really enjoyed my time squid fishing and was pleasantly surprised by the drinks provided as well as the food prepared on the boat! Although I wasn't able to catch any squid, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pickup was also very convenient and straightforward. I will definitely try again another time and I strongly recommend this experience!

Squid fishing at Victoria Harbour tonight was absolutely amazing! 🌃 It was my first time night fishing in downtown Hong Kong, and Victoria Harbour looked stunning under the lights. The boat captain caught a ton of squid, about ten or so per person. Even though I didn't catch anything, I had a blast. The sea breeze and the city lights across the water were so relaxing. I highly recommend coming at night; the atmosphere is incredible! Next time, I'll bring my friends along.

I've been on many group tours to Sai Kung by boat myself! This time, booking this city group tour through Klook was a huge contrast! After reading all the reviews, I booked it, and that evening, a group of 26 of us went, including my son! The boat operator wasn't as bad as the reviews said; he was friendly, very, very patient, and provided a lot of emotional value to everyone on the boat. This was one thing. His squid fishing methods and techniques are incomparable to those on Sai Kung boats! You could tell his voice was severely hoarse and he wasn't feeling well that day, but he was absolutely professional! Sometimes I see reviews talking about how bad the boat operator is! Honestly, if you haven't experienced the worst ones, don't criticize others so harshly! Whatever his flaws, they don't affect you for life, and he never treated customers poorly! Don't just focus on people's attitudes; you might have issues too! Because that night, there were indeed three very troublesome groups of tourists who kept asking the boat operator for help with things! To be honest! If you're asking someone else to help you, and you can't even manage your own things, don't be so rude when you're out having fun, especially with such a terrible attitude! Shouting and disturbing other fellow tourists! Always blaming the boat operator for problems! You have a responsibility too! And still pointing at the boat operator and scolding him! You're actually disturbing other fellow tourists! Finally, I want to say, boat operator, you're awesome! The food you made was delicious, not just boiled squid again... My son kept asking when we got home, 'Dad, how do you make that delicious squid?' We'll definitely come again! Tell more people to come because you deserve it! I can't believe this price for what we got! Honestly, four hours at a shrimp fishing place wouldn't be this price! I trust Klook's activities are the best! A very good experience. We went on the boat on a Monday, and it wasn't crowded, it felt like we chartered the whole boat. The boatman was very friendly and quickly became friends with everyone. There were cuttlefish that night, but many got away after being caught, so the final harvest wasn't much. It's worth mentioning that the boatman is super good at cooking, and we all enjoyed the food very much. It was another happy day.
