The autumn trip was beautifully organized, with every detail carefully planned. The guide’s English was excellent, and the lunch was delicious, with a convenient vegetarian option available. Highly recommended!
11/6 Participate in Klook’s one-day tour: Ashikaga City Red Leaves One-day Guided Tour (Watarase Gorge Railway & Takatsuto Gorge & Ashikaga Koh no Hana Garden), departing from Shinjuku Center Building at 8:50 am, the traffic is smooth, about 11 Order the salmon rice bowl set meal at Imachi Japanese Restaurant. In the afternoon, we went to Lake Somu, and then took the Watarase Valley Railway to enjoy the red leaves on both sides of the river. The tour guide said it would take another two weeks to see the full glory of the red leaves. The train only has one carriage, so we took four stops and got off at Minunuma Station, and walked a short distance to the suspension bridge to see the beautiful scenery of Takatsuto Gorge. The itinerary specially arranges to go to the famous Ashikaga Flower Park at night to watch the bright light show of 4 million lights.
is was as impressive as I expected. Still alot of green and not much of the beautiful autumn colors. the weather is still warm in Nov 2023 at tokyo, I think this year autumn really come late for tokyo and Nikko region. but the tour is very well organised and the japanes lady tour guide Ayumi, is very professional, friendly and helpful.
it was a good tour. the reds and yellows were spectacular. if it did not rain I would have taken more pictures of the light fixtures in ashigawa park.
A relaxing trip to get to see the natural scenery and illumination in outskirts of Tokyo. Guide was professional and proficient in English. Bus is clean and safe drive. Enjoyed the day trip
The places were beautiful, even when the trees were not yet fully colored red. The tour guide was very friendly and took interest in the people from the group. Can 100% recommend.
the tour was good except for the beginning part where some late comers arrived late, probably need to find the gathering place. This caused getting to lunch late hence the food a bit cold. The tour guide, Juninho San was good and helpful. explained very detail. Overall, it is a good one-day tour to the country side and we got to see the autumn leaves. Bus ride was timely and the driver drove safely.
Really nice and cozy trip with cheerful and funny tour guide Yui was a nice getaway from concrete jungle of Tokyo, just to slow pace and enjoy the nature. Especially the train ride was really nice, but my advice is to wait for all the people to board in and enter last at the front of the train, so you can see the train driver doing his thing 👌
We gathered at 7:30 in the morning. We took an early morning flight to the hotel, put down our luggage and went directly to the meeting point. Before the first stop was 11am, we went for lunch. The taste was nothing special. It was udon + fish rice. I felt so full after that. Went to see the dam, it was very windy and cold After the train, we went to the left-hand mountain trail. There is a mountain road that is about half an hour away. You can walk on it while viewing the mountains, water, and red leaves. They are all pretty good. There are quite a few Japanese people who are walking together. It’s a pity that we don’t have much time. I want to take my time. If you don’t want to go, you can stop at the nearby shrine. The last stop is the Flower of Light Garden. When you enter, you will see something flashing like you didn’t expect. It’s really hard to get a good picture with a mobile phone (the most skilled person in the test). The location of the castle is very beautiful, but it is a test of whether 2 hours of mobile phone time is enough. After taking the photo, I waited in line to buy souvenirs. Finally, I returned to Shinjuku without traffic jam (lucky). Overall, it was around 8pm. Because there were no red leaves, attraction D was overshadowed by the fact that the tour guide was very experienced (the second time I met him XD). He could understand English well and everything went smoothly and happily. After meeting the group members, we accidentally visited other attractions. So amazingwww
Starting from Shinjuku, the driving time is almost two hours, and it may be even longer if there is a traffic jam, but the beautiful scenery is definitely worth it, and both the tour guide and the driver took great care of us, which was even more considerate! What's even better is that we have a group of great group members. Although we come from all over the world, no one is late for the one-day trip, and the trip starts on time. It's a great day!
