Reviews
This time, I participated in an activity I'd always wanted to experience, and thankfully, it didn't disappoint. I went out to sea twice. The first time, I took a large boat (with about 50 people). From a distance (about 100 meters), we saw humpback whales spouting and swimming to the surface as they migrated. In about an hour and a half, we saw around 5-6 pairs of whales, and even encountered a pair of dolphins playing around the boat. A few days later, I joined a fast boat (with about 10 people). This time, I was even luckier to see a humpback whale's tail slapping the water up close for two to three minutes. It was an unforgettable experience!
Coach: Friendly, and the last one to successfully see whales. They will also explain some of the habits and background of whales along the way. Location: Convenient meeting point Safety: Life jackets cannot be worn in advance. They are only to be worn in case of danger and when instructed by the coach.
It is very worthwhile. It is recommended to go in the afternoon to see the sunset.
The boarding location differed from the Klook information, so it's recommended to use the address in the confirmation email after purchase! The tour is great value for money. Although the guide took an hour to find the whales, it was truly moving to see them in person! Also, this tour probably uses the closest boats for whale watching.
Klook made a mistake this time. The meeting point provided was Circular Quay. After we arrived at 9:15 on time, the staff said it was not this way, but the other side of Darling Harbor. At first, we wanted to take a taxi over there immediately, but they just I couldn't make it, and the boat was about to leave. My mood dropped to the bottom. The employee suggested that we take the slow boat, which only leaves at 3 o'clock. Later, they translated the app information and confirmed that it was a klook error. The employee Jeff was very nice and immediately said he would take us to the fast boat. The pier we passed by came to pick us up. We were very grateful and happy. They were happy to help us solve our problems. Regarding this incident, I hope klook will carefully confirm whether the information is correct, otherwise it will seriously affect the itinerary and make us feel depressed.
It was a fun trip, but if you're prone to seasickness, you should take motion sickness medication.
Overall it's good but lacks the amazing feeling
Do not book this whale watching tour via Klook. The information listed on Klook is inconsistent with the real experience. The platform advertises a 2-hour cruise, yet the actual trip only lasts one hour. Also, whale sightings are not guaranteed due to weather conditions, which is poorly explained on Klook. If you plan to book a whale watching tour, I highly recommend GetYourGuide, as it provides clear, accurate descriptions of all tour details.
I went twice and still didn't see everything, so you might not see everything either.
