Cham Island Day Tour from Da Nang

So happy we did this while in Da Nang. It’s a way different vibe from everything we’ve seen in Vietnam. Tour guide was great. Highlights were the snorkeling (water was about 8ft deep and clear) and relaxing on the beach to end the day. Food was also very tasty with big portions. Our morning driver was very rude & aggressive but aside from that, we had a great day.

Picked up from the hotel. We drove around to various other hotels, picking up about 20 people in total. Headed to a pier near Hoi An. Someone picked us up separately and handed us over to another English-speaking guide. When we got there, there were about 5 Korean teams and a mix of Vietnamese and foreign tourists, about 30 people in all. Took a motorboat to Cham Island. Got off and toured Cham Island. Visited a museum, some shops, and temples, which took about 45 minutes. Took the boat again for about 10 minutes to a beach area. Those not snorkeling got off, and then they took the scuba divers to their diving spot before heading to the snorkeling point. Snorkeling was safe, and the fish and coral were beautiful. We snorkeled for about 30 minutes and saw a variety of fish. It's not quite like the Philippines, but it was fun. Went back to the beach for lunch. The shrimp, scallops, fish, and rice were delicious. Relaxed on the beach for about an hour, had some drinks, and then took the motorboat back. When we arrived at the pier, they directed everyone to their respective bus drivers, but it took a while because they were all different. The bus was full when we got on, and it took some time to get back because it stopped at each hotel, but the bus was cool and comfortable, so we enjoyed the ride. The total trip time, including travel, was 8 hours.

5 stars. definitely. smooth tour. and the fact that the tour operator considered picking me up even though i wan out of area, that 2 thumbs up indeed. wish we had more time to spend and relax by the beach. 1 hour is not enough. sad

My trip to Cham Islands was an amazing experience and full of fun memories. The tour guide, Mr. Phuc, was very friendly, helpful, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone. I tried scuba diving for the first time, and it was exciting to see the beautiful coral reefs and colorful fish underwater. The local people were very kind and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable during the visit. Overall, it was a wonderful trip that I will always remember.

Great day tour, English speaking guide. Fast and smooth speed boat to island. Magnificent lunch provided. Snorkle & mask provide for snorkeling, but no flippers Pick up and drop off to hotel. Free time to explore island. Good facilities…

It was very beautiful. Everything was well-organized and inexpensive. I enjoyed lunch; it was delicious. Honestly, I would go again. The water there is so great; it's clean.

We were picked up promptly at 7:30 AM tomorrow via transfer minibus. More people were collected along the way. We arrived at the boat harbor around 8:40 AM. We found the 30-minute wait until we were allowed on the boats a bit unfortunate. During that time, we were quite besieged by vendors trying to sell things. The aggressive pushing of toys for the children was very annoying. The boat trip went by very quickly. We would have liked more time on the first island so we could have talked to the local people. Afterward, we went snorkeling for an hour, which was very nice. Then we went to an island for lunch, which was very generous, and we had a little over an hour for the beach. Unfortunately, all four of us got stomach aches in the evening from a dish or from the ice in the smoothies, and one person had diarrhea all evening.

Tour guide is friendly to explain history of Cham island. About 50 mins to snorkel. I prefer can have more time to sun tan on the beach though. Food for 2 ppl is enough.
