Reviews summaryWe had the best experience with our tour guide, Tu, and the amazing Halong Bay Ambassador Cruise. The tour started with round-trip transportation in a luxurious bus, and once we arrived in Halong Bay, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea on the luxurious Ambassador Cruise. We also walked through limestone caves, played on the beach, and experienced canoeing, making it a very fun and fulfilling day. If you are considering several Halong Bay tours, you should definitely choose this one. The level of satisfaction is absolutely different. Also, our tour guide, Tu, was very knowledgeable and humorous, and he supported our family in a fun way. We are very grateful. Please visit Halong Bay and experience the Ambassador Cruise with Tu!
The weather was perfect for my off-season trip to Hanoi, which made it a very enjoyable experience. I was able to see picturesque scenery, creating lasting memories of Hanoi. Although I was traveling alone and felt a bit lonely, I was delighted when a staff member who spoke Korean verbally explained things to me. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious food, but as an introvert who isn't fond of spices, I mostly stuck to the vegetable dishes. The manager, noticing this, seemed concerned and kindly suggested various other food options. Haha. I was so tired from an early start that I fell asleep during the final live performance, but even with my eyes closed, it sounded wonderful. Lol.
While the price was a bit higher compared to other tours, the lunch buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes including both meat and seafood. The large size of the boat also meant less rocking, making for a very comfortable tour overall. Each group was assigned a table on board, which served as a resting and dining area throughout the cruise. We were on the 3rd floor, and the 4th floor was used similarly. Private rooms on the 2nd floor were also available for an additional charge. Our local guide, Lucky, did an excellent job organizing everything from boarding to disembarking. He provided a laser-guided tour inside Sung Sot Cave and was very attentive during transfers, allowing us to enjoy the tour with peace of mind. The early departure time was also a plus, as it allowed us to visit attractions efficiently before they got too crowded. After leaving Luon Cave, our final stop, there was a live performance on deck. The setlist, featuring popular songs from the US, Vietnam, and China, was surprisingly enjoyable. We opted for round-trip transportation from Hanoi city, which took a full 2.5 hours on the way there and 3.5 hours on the way back. The bus had comfortable three-row seating with reclining options, but it would be wise to plan how to spend your time during the journey.
The food was better than eating out. Although the tour was a one-day itinerary, it was well-organized and fun overall. I was worried about the language barrier and getting around since there weren't as many Koreans as I expected and it was my first time, but Ruby, the person in charge, spoke Korean well and guided me every time we moved, which made it even more comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend trying it at least once, especially with the live show!
amazing experience of the day cruise tour with ambassador. Mr. Hoang took special care of us and made our honeymoon really special. a big shoutout to the indian food they have, its tastier than it looks.
There were many cruise ships and I was wondering which one to choose, but I'm really glad I chose this one. I could tell right away that it was different from other ships. The dedicated check-in counter, the luxurious ship, the high-quality food, the activities, the cool staff were all very kind and wonderful. I also stayed in a private room, and it was so nice that I wanted to stay there for a night. The weather wasn't very good, but the ship was so wonderful that I didn't mind at all. I had the best memories of my trip to Hanoi. If I had another chance, I would choose this ship.
The Ambassador DAY CRUISE is top-notch and practical. However, prepare for a very hectic day. Be at the pick-up location at the specified time, sharp, driver will not wait. The cruise itinerary is not doable, unless you want to miss LUNCH (5-star world-class international buffet), or have a 20-30 mins. late lunch in a hurry. Upon disembarking at the Sung Sot Cave area, best to just look around and take photos for 10-15 mins. Board the ship again, get off at the next stop, look around and take photos for 10-15 mins., then board the ship again for Titov Island, look around and take photos of the beach, and board the ship again to return to the Ambassador, in time for lunch at 12:00 p.m. *The Sung Sot Cave is a beautiful cave. To climb: 40 mins. normal speed, no queue; more than an hour on a long queue. Exploring the Luon Cave sitting on a bamboo boat is enjoyable and quick, except for the heat. The activity starts at 1:30 p.m. If you will be out for all or most of the activities, a private cabin will be not much use, except for toilet breaks and the comfort and privacy it offers.
Peter was an amazing guide. Ambassador Cruise is one of the largest cruises in Halong Bay. Everything was planned like clockwork. The room we booked was clean and had a balcony which gave an amazing view of the bay as a whole and a private space to unwind after the activities. The buffet spread was quite adequate to accommodate all food types. The bamboo boat ride and the speed boat ride was a paid activity, but worth it. Just an advice, don't just take the bamboo boat ride; take the speed boat ride combo. Trust me that was the highlight of the trip.
My husband and I were planning a free trip to Vietnam and decided on this product. There were many cheaper options and many types, so it was hard to choose, but we decided on this one because it had a big boat, delicious food, service, and even a live performance, and the result was very satisfying. I was worried about the weather, but there were a lot of clouds, so it wasn't too hot, and the sunlight was just right, so it was good for walking around. In particular, the young Halong Bay guide who escorted us from the bus spoke English well, looked nice, and gave us a friendly and helpful tour. We couldn't understand English, but thanks to the kind guides, it was a happy cruise trip. I want to come again next time. The last live performance on the cruise was really fantastic.
cannot thank enough to Tâm, the đeicated tour guide which made my trip so amazing even though I travel alone. I had supposed that just got on the cruise and did everything alone, no photos, no insights; but it turned out that Tam was the guide leading us. He shared many things relating to Ha Long bay, what to focus on the cave, what we should do at Titop island and Hang Luon. Everything is just on track and I totally satisfied with my choice of this trip, even though it was more expensive than the other. for the cruise itself, I love breakfast with Pho. Lunch buffet is more than expected. So if you wish to enjoy a chill day with tasting food in the bay, this is worth trying. one minus thing is the schedule is so tight to visit the Sung Sot cave and Titop island.
