Traveler reviews
It was unfortunate that the transfer we booked separately did not drop us where the bike rental is located but it's okay as we still enjoyed the Sun Moon Lake and was able to walk around. Good thing that the ropeway was just a 10-minute walk so we were able to ride it immediately. We're lucky that it was a weekday so there's not much tourists so we got the gondola by ourselves only. The claiming of ropeway was easy, we just went to 3rd floor and showed the qr code and they stamped our hands with glow in the dark stamp for Formosan and we're already set. It was a good 5-10min ropeway ride. At the end of the ropeway from SML, there's few food stalls. Upon entering Formosan, just scan the stamp in your hand and you can ride the gondola again going to the theme park. It was a weekday so we had the place to ourselves and there were no queues. It was unfortunate that it rained the whole day but we still got to ride some of the rides there.
I asked hotels and car rental agencies, and the ticket prices for Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village are quite firm, so Klook's prices are really a great deal. Just remember to pick up your charm; I forgot! Sun Moon Lake is truly beautiful. Biking around it would be very comfortable and enjoyable, but due to time constraints, I chose to take a boat. There are three piers where you can get on and off. The piers are straightforward, so you shouldn't get lost, but pay attention to the departure times. The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway goes directly to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, but on weekdays, it operates from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, which might cut into your time at the amusement park. However, getting off the ropeway allows you to explore the park from top to bottom, making the downhill path easier. After enjoying the park and gardens, you can take the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Ropeway, then transfer to the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway to head back, which works out perfectly. The environment at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is excellent, with spacious areas and abundant greenery. Besides amusement rides and beautiful gardens, there are also various indigenous cultural activities to experience. What's most remarkable is that all the staff love their jobs; they are very enthusiastic in their introductions and actively invite visitors to participate. I hope to visit again during cherry blossom season!
Had such a wonderful tour experience in Alishan! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking — from the misty mountains and peaceful forests to the unforgettable views. Everything was well organized, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. Special thanks to our driver and guide, Mr. Yang (plate number RFL-7577), for making the trip even more memorable. He was professional, friendly, patient, and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe throughout the journey. His kindness and great service truly added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taiwan — Alishan is magical, and having such a reliable guide makes it even better. Thank you again, Mr. Yang!
Convenience of booking with Klook: [Guangfu Holiday | Kids' Energy Unleashed x Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village] Even though I've been busy with work these past two days, I still need to take the kids out for a walk this weekend~ This time, the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village's Halloween event, "Demon Festival: Origins," has made a grand debut, combining Taiwanese ghost stories 👻 and Japanese Yokai culture 🇯🇵. There are also aboriginal crafts and a cross-over with the national film "Mud Doll" to create an immersive horror zone. The kids rushed to the Gold Mine Adventure, the Giant Vortex, took the cable car, rode the Flying Boat, and searched for Yokai, laughing all the way. I really have to admit I'm getting old, some of the facilities are still quite thrilling (or just pretending to be brave 🤣). One trip, daytime is a family adventure in the Yokai world ~ this is the best holiday rhythm ❤️.
The price is well worth it with the privilege of enjoying all the rides and amenities of the park with the this package including the cable car to spectacularly beautiful SunMoon Lake. The European Garden truly momentarily transports you to Europe with its beauty and ambience. Make sure to enjoy the train ride around it to maximize the pleasure of enjoying the view the garden offers. While I would enjoy a cruise around the lake, I think nothing beats the experience of getting a bird's eyeview of the enchanting beauty of SunMoon Lake as well as the transition of the view from the village to the lake. The SunMoon Lake is probably one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to and Formosa Aborignal Culture Village presents a unique experience of culture and youthful fun combined. We will definitely be back and we will bring our friends as visiting such places present a truly unique experience.
the experience was so fun really worth it. With 1050NTD you can get 3 trip boat to 3 pier, you can also get cable car round trip from yidashao to formosa and inside formosa you can get cable car also. and you can get a day trip to formosa village. it was really huge place i reccomend to get there from morning. Overall really worth it expereiwnce
It’s a complete package for us. We got a boat tour around Sun Moon Lake, allowing us to visit all the piers. Redemption is convenient—just have the staff scan the QR code, and they’ll give you physical tickets. It also includes a round-trip cable car ride to and from the Formosan Aboriginal Village, along with admission to the village
10/10 worth to buy. This ticket is a must buy for sun moon lake trip. As like a full package ticket, included village entrance, round trip cable car ride and round trip boat rides. If u buy each one, u would have to pay more but with this ticket it is very worthy
