From Sanroku Station to the summit, it's about a 3-minute ride on the retro Jikkoku Pass Cable Car. It's a funicular (counterbalanced) system, and seeing the cars pass each other midway is also a highlight.
At the summit, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view. On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji, the Southern Alps, Suruga Bay, the Shonan Coast, and the Miura Peninsula, and sometimes even as far as the Boso Peninsula.
On the various observation decks, you can sit or lie down and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
The name "Jikkoku Pass" comes from the fact that it once overlooked ten provinces. It is also registered as a National Registered Monument, making it a spot where you can experience both scenery and history.
