#The Taichung MRT officially opened on April 25, 2021. The route starts from Beitun Main Station, passes through Songzhu Road, Beitun Road, Wenxin Road, and Jianguo Road, and ends at HSR Taichung Station. There are a total of 18 stations. HSR Taichung Station is a three-in-one station, making it convenient for the public to transfer to the High-Speed Rail and Taiwan Railways. Taiwan Railways passengers can also transfer to the MRT at Songzhu Station and Daqing Station. In addition, each MRT station has a YouBike rental station and multiple bus routes passing through, integrating the MRT with other surrounding transportation tools to allow you to easily explore Taichung. The instructions received after redemption were very clear, and the redemption process itself was convenient and quick. The physical card is quite nice, but it can only be used once. After its expiration, the entire card cannot be used as a top-up card, which is a bit environmentally unfriendly. Perhaps it could be changed to an electronic QR code card for better environmental sustainability and convenience!
It's convenient to redeem and easy to use; you can use it immediately after redemption. However, it would be even better if the card could be reused after expiration to avoid waste.
Once converted to a physical card, there is no expiration date.
