What to expect
Mengyuyan, located in Beijiang Haoxiang Style Park, Saihan District, Hohhot, is a grassland immersive cultural tourism and dining show based on the “Zha Ma Yan” culture of the Yuan Dynasty. It integrates dining, folk viewing, and cultural experience functions. The venue replicates the style of a Mongolian-Yuan imperial tent, featuring a tiered performance hall and multiple Mongolian-themed private rooms. It also includes a small Mongolian yurt cultural check-in exhibition area, where visitors can directly learn about traditional grassland clothing and living utensils. The entire dining experience includes a complete live ethnic performance, covering Mongolian group dances, Hoomai (throat singing), and Morin Khuur (horse-head fiddle) performances. Traditional welcoming ceremonies such as presenting hada and toasting with silver bowls are also offered, with voluntary participation in interactive processes. The cuisine focuses on local grassland fresh hotpot, using ingredients such as Ximeng lamb rolls and premium beef chuck, paired with seasonal vegetables, handmade dairy products, and special side dishes. It offers both spicy and clear broth hotpot bases to suit different tastes, and also includes fresh fruits, tea, and special dipping sauces. The park provides a free large parking lot and can accommodate tour groups, business receptions, corporate team building, and family gatherings.
