What to expect

Unlike typical cooking classes, this experience takes place in a real ramen shop that serves local customers every day. During the restaurant’s break hours, you’ll gain a rare insider’s view of how a Japanese ramen business operates. Your English-speaking guide will introduce the history of ramen, Japanese ramen culture, and the daily routines of a working ramen restaurant. Learn how ingredients are sourced, how soup and toppings are prepared, and what happens before customers arrive each day. Watch a demonstration by the restaurant staff, then make your own bowl of ramen by boiling noodles, learning proper noodle-draining techniques, and assembling your ramen just like a chef. After cooking, enjoy your meal while discovering local food culture through fun stories and ramen trivia.
