Okinawa: Authentic Knife Forging Experience

This was such a unique & fun experience that we will remember for forever. Our instructor was so knowledgeable & patient. He explained every step beforehand & walked us through the entire process. Now we get to go home with an amazing souvenir Absolutely recommend if you want a life-long experience & treasure.

Super fun! It lets you forge a knife all the way from start to finish. There are many different knife styles to choose from, and the master craftsman helps out along the way, but you do most of the hands-on work yourself, making it super fun! The final result is actually utility-grade!

Probably the most fun I had during my trip to Okinawa! I was honestly surprised by how good my knife turned out, especially since I had zero experience. It was super satisfying to make something from scratch, and now I have a really cool souvenir to take home. There’s also parking right at the studio, which made getting there really easy. Highly recommend!

Such a unique experience in Okinawa! I came by myself and the staff made me feel welcome from the start. The whole process was hands-on and really fun, from hammering the hot steel to shaping my own knife. The instructors explained everything clearly and helped whenever I needed it. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip, and I now have an awesome handmade knife to take home as a souvenir. Highly recommended!

Great overall experience making a knife! Very hands on, allowing me to try different steps along the way. Taka was very patient, knowledgeable and funny too!

First time forging a knife, a very fun experience swinging the heavy hammer. The owner was very enthusiastic and meticulously helped point out issues and make adjustments during the forging process. The final product is a small quenched and acid-etched dagger, giving a great sense of accomplishment. It should be very satisfying to take home and open packages with.
