In 2026, “The Wedding Banquet: The Musical” will draw a phased conclusion in Taiwan. Following the 2024 premiere and 2025 encore, this will be the last complete performance of this version on Taiwanese soil – next time, “The Wedding Banquet” will appear on the world stage with a brand new production and a new look. For audiences who haven’t seen it yet, this is the last chance; for those who have, this is the last farewell to this version. We have laughed, cried, been heartbroken for the characters, and cheered for them in this theater – and all of this will become the nourishment for this work to move towards the international stage.
Completed in Taiwan, launching to the world. We invite you to join us and witness this wedding banquet, which belongs to us, held grandly here for the last time.

▍Synopsis
Wei-Tong, living in New York, leads a stable life with his partner Simon. To appease his parents in Taiwan, who eagerly await a grandchild, he enters into a fake marriage with Wei-Wei, a female artist from Taiwan—a “marriage of convenience” to put everyone at ease.
When his parents travel across the ocean to New York to host a grand wedding banquet for their son, this wedding, originally just a facade, unexpectedly uncovers everyone's deepest desires and fears. What do the parents want? How much can the partner endure? And Wei-Tong himself, to whom is he willing to be honest?
Between love and expectation, between tradition and choice, “The Wedding Banquet: The Musical” unfolds a story about “love and inclusion”— Love is Love, regardless of form, regardless of definition.

One ticket per person for admission. ⏺︎Latecomers and audience members leaving during the performance should follow staff instructions for re-entry. ⏺︎To avoid affecting the quality of the performance, late entry will not be permitted during the second half.
