- Family ticket: A family of 2 adults and 2 children (Children aged 3-12) are eligible
- The average visit duration is 1 hour 30 minutes
- Guided tours of the permanent exhibition are only available on Satudays and Sundays: English at 14:30 or French at 13:30
- Visits will continue rain or shine
- What to wear: Walking shoes are recommended

- The modern exhibition pavilion is air-conditioned
- Accessibility for wheelchair users/People with reduced mobility: Please note that vintage vehicles are not adapted to today's standard)
- The museum has a souvenir shop, specialty gift shop, and a railway bookstore onsite
- Visitors are allowed to bring their own lunch and enjoy it at the indoor or outdoor picnic areas onsite
- Restaurants are located nearby the museum
- Re-entry to the venue is permitted. Show your ticket/wristband/stamp upon re-entry at the entrance
- Pets are not allowed inside the venue, with the exception of service animals with valid identification

- By metro: Take the REM to the REM Panama Station, take the 651 bus then interchange to the 155 bus, and walk for 9 minutes and
- By metro: Take the REM to the REM Brossard Station, interchange to the A4-A1 light rail line, take the 650 bus and the 155 bus, and walk for 9 minutes
- Exporail has two free parking spaces

- It is prohibited to use the delivery entrance and to park on the museum grounds
- Please note that the entrance to the museum is no longer located at 110 rue Saint-Pierre (Parking lot with a locomotive). Please proceed to use the main entrance
