What to expect
Nabana no Sato Winter Illumination This is Japan’s largest-scale illumination event, covered by a vast expanse of glittering lights. This year’s theme is “The Wild Paradise.” The official main illumination area centers around magnificent natural landscapes and the evolution of life, divided into four main chapters: The Ancient Continent / Dinosaur Age, The Wild Paradise / Living Earth, Grassland Sunset / Desert, and From the Ocean to the Earth / The Spectacular Waterfall.
River of Light Approximately 5 meters wide and 120 meters long, the “River of Light” is the country’s largest-scale water illumination display, capable of performing with approximately 64 billion colors.
Tunnel of Light - Hana Kairou Here you can experience the ultimate brilliance and breathtaking scenery in Japan. Selected by “Places to Visit Before You Die! Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima As one of Japan’s largest outlet malls, it features unique architectural styles and beautiful interior decorations, creating a comfortable shopping environment. With approximately 300 diverse stores, visitors can also enjoy various local delicacies such as Nagoya’s signature foods. Located near the Nagashima Hot Spring and adjacent to Nabana no Sato, the mall is also next to amusement facilities like roller coasters, allowing visitors to enjoy hot springs, view illuminations, or experience amusement rides alongside their shopping.

Reviews
Spend 4.5h at Outlet Mall and 3.5h at Nabana No Sato. Personally I would prefer more time at Outlet Mall. We reached Nabana No Sato at 5.30, had to wait till 7.10 pm for the lights to come on.
A small group of 8 people (in a 8 seater MPV) which is good (50mins ride to reach ~1pm). We have enough time (1pm ~ 4.45pm) for the Mitsui outlet (as we only go to the shops we are interested). There is a food court selling most of the famous food (Miso Tonkasu, Ramen). We had our dinner there. As for the illumination, we stay from 5-8pm. As there is not a lot of people (early Feb). we completed the whole area in ~2hrs. We just sit around for nearly an hour. Probably in peak period, the timing is just nice. The ticket included ¥1500 voucher for you to spend in the souvenir shops or some pop-up snacks booth. This trip is extremely worth brining you to 2 itineraries (which is a little troublesome by public transportation - to 2 places).
The pickup location was clearly arranged. Although it was a short trip, the tour guide explained everything in detail and included many introductions to the scenery along the way. The time allocated for each attraction was very generous, and we could even put our purchases back on the bus, which was very convenient. The lights and gardens at night were beautiful. If you choose not to have dinner inside the park, there's still plenty of time. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are traveling with elderly companions.
It was a great experience, the outlet mall was fun to browse. We departed at 11:45 AM and arrived around 12:30 PM, shopping until 6:00 PM and buying many things we loved. After shopping, we put our purchases in the car, freeing up our hands to enjoy Nabana no Sato. The illuminated flower fields at night were beautiful, and we had two hours to take photos and admire them at our leisure. I highly recommend this relaxing trip, which doesn't require spending too much time traveling.
A fantastic day had by all. shopping at the outlets was great. A lot of discounts during Golden Week. The lights display at Nabana no Sato was spectacular.
The itinerary was well-planned; more time at the outlet would have been even better, and the sea of lights was also beautiful.
This is a shared transfer for 8 pax (2 family of 4). vehicle type is a van with green plate. We departed Ministop (pick up point) 30 min earlier since we and the other family arrived earlier too. Alloted 4.5 hours in Mitsui Outlet and 3 hours in Nabano No Sato.
Our experience was magnificent. First of all, the transport service host were very friendly and accommodating. We were on time and the ride was safe. Outlet mall is very dangerous... To our wallets. 😂. No words to describe the beauty and magnificence of Nabano No Sato!

It's very convenient, allowing ample time at each attraction. More importantly, you can leave your shopping bags from the outlet in the car, so you don't have to worry about carrying them yourself to Nabana no Sato. If you can't drive, this is highly recommended.
Good to know
