Great experience for animals lovers. Foxes very cute and guide-Midori San very friendly and helpful. strawberries farm experience also extremely great and will be better if have longer experience time. The strawberries are sweet and cheap to buy as souvenirs.
This was my first time participating in a one-day tour of Japan, and I joined it for the Fox Village. Since I had already visited Ginzan Onsen and Zao Snow Monsters on my own, I chose the Fox Village + Strawberry Picking tour. Unexpectedly, the strawberry picking itinerary turned out to be very rewarding. We ate a lot during the 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry session. All four varieties were so delicious, fragrant, and sweet 😋. Of course, the Fox Village was also amazing. At first, I thought there was a smell, but after seeing so many cute foxes, I completely forgot about the smell 😂.
The tour guide was a Japanese woman. Some of her English pronunciation was difficult to understand, but she was very friendly and cute. On the way back, she even used pictures she printed herself to introduce us to local festivals. She was very meticulous. We spent about an hour and a half to two hours at the fox village, including time spent browsing the souvenir shop. You need to consider your own time allocation. The fox village has its own detailed regulations for safety reasons, including not touching the foxes (there is an additional charge for the fox holding activity), so please pay attention. But the foxes are still very cute. For the all-you-can-eat strawberries, we went to the orchard next to Arahama Elementary School. The store clerk was also very nice. The all-you-can-eat strawberry activity is 30 minutes, and you'll work hard from the beginning until you can't eat anymore.

This was amazing, absolutely loved every minute of it. Our guide was fantastic, so helpful. The foxes were very cute and the strawberries were delicious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Sendai.
Been wanting to check out Fox Village for a while, but getting there was a bit tricky. Luckily, it made the travel smoother, and the time at each spot was just perfect. The guides and driver were friendly and professional. We had two guides this time—one spoke Mandarin, the other English. Not sure if it's the usual setup, but knowing a bit of English helped. Plus, the announcements and Japanese history intros were in English, which was a nice touch.
The tour bus was comfortable and clean, and the driver drove safely on the snowy roads. The tour guide explained everything in English throughout the trip and was very responsible. The number of foxes in the fox village was fewer than expected, and the area inside the park was also not large. However, because of the snow, the photos were very beautiful. We were given 40 minutes to pick and eat strawberries in the greenhouse farm, and they were very big and sweet. There was also time to rest and have snacks at a coffee shop.
The tour ran smoothly and comfortably. There was a planned break at the highway station in between the journey which was helpful. Tour guide Shun spoke good English and was helpful throughout. I also liked his explanations of history and interesting spots along the way. The fox village was such a beautiful and fun experience. Many safety rules to enter but all for good reason. Do note that children are not allowed to hold the foxes during the cuddling experience time, but they are still allowed to take pictures next to them and even pet them as long as they are with a paying adult. The strawberry farm was also a lovely experience, with all your can eat strawberries within a 30 min time frame and with varying varieties to try. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour guide and driver were both very enthusiastic and responsible. It was August, the molting season for foxes, so they looked a bit thin, but the experience of observing the foxes up close throughout the park was great! Strawberry picking was limited to one 350ml cup per person since it was not the peak season, and eating while picking was not allowed, which was a pity.
