Reviews
We arrived early to the bus stop and had already received a helpful message from our tour guide Yoshi on Whatsapp. We boarded the bus and had Yoshi guide us to the Zao Fox Village and Ginzan Onsen. There were some last minute changes but he explained everything and we had a great day visiting the local prefecture and neighbouring areas. The food was great, the stories Yoshi provided and English translation was great. We visited what we wanted and had a great day. Thank you to Yoshi and our professional driver for making this a great day! Arigato Gozaimasu!
Great day tour from Sendai Station. The bus was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had WiFi plus a tray for drinks and snacks. Driver and guide were punctual and professional. Our guide, Sanichi, really stood out. He speaks good English, is knowledgeable, and shared useful tips throughout the day. He also told us the inspiring story of Hamaguchi Goryo and the “Fire of Rice Sheaves,” with light jokes along the way that made the tour feel relaxed and welcoming. He helped take photos and gave great recommendations on what to see and eat. Zao Fox Village was fun and unique, with foxes up close. Feeding or hugging costs extra, and the guide helped with translation. Lunch was a simple but tasty noodle and tempura set. Ginzan Onsen was crowded and rainy, but well managed with clear instructions. Still worth visiting, as it’s very hard to reach by public transport. Overall, a fantastic day trip—the guide’s passion made all the difference.
@The trip was very pleasant ~ The 11 people in this group happened to be all from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the tour guide spoke Chinese the whole time (a Japanese who speaks very good Chinese!) @The tour guide introduced many historical stories of Sendai throughout the trip, and I learned a lot. @Team members Because everyone gathered quickly and cooperated well, we arrived early and had more time to stay at the attractions. @Sendai Station to Fox Village is about a 40-minute drive, with a stop at a rest stop with a souvenir shop to use the toilet. The Fox Village got a limited edition fox cub in May, so cute! In fact, the taste is not as strong as I imagined (fox smell) ~ @Fox Village is about 20 minutes away from the lunch location. It is really a high-end restaurant and the food is delicious 😋 @The restaurant is about a 2-hour drive from Yinshan Hot Spring, and we stopped at a rest stop in the middle to go to the toilet. @Will stop at Taisho Romantic Hall to change to the shuttle bus, the ride takes about 5 minutes to Ginzan Hot Spring. @The hot spring street is not big. If you are fast, you can walk around it twice in 30 minutes and take a foot bath in 1 hour. The tofu recommended by the tour guide is only sold in Ginzan Hot Spring, and it is delicious! Other souvenirs and curry bread are sold at Taisho Romance House. The ice cream at Taisho Romance House is also delicious~ @The tour guide had booked the shuttle bus for the return trip, so we got a seat on the bus when the gathering time arrived (we squeezed into the shuttle bus with his group, and there were 41 people in the whole bus). @Because we arrived early, there was a small traffic jam on the way back to Sendai due to an accident, but we still arrived at 6:15. @I really recommend this one-day tour. I was worried at first, so I wrote to the HIS company and they responded super quickly! (I asked Klook customer service but they didn’t help me, so I wrote to HIS company myself)
I was very satisfied with our trip. Our guide was very friendly and always gave us tips and recommendations when we arrived at a new stop. Our driver also did a great job. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip.
You can visit two place in one day, fox village is fun you can pay to hug fox, baby fox are cute, GInzan Onsen quite far from fox village two hours to there, even not Winter GInzan still busy… lunch included noodles are good, Our guid - Elina is very nice and helpful, She took you to the place and clearly tell you the meeting place and time.
Direction for meet up point is clear and useful! Japanese tour guide speaking English, although a little different, but can understand 😅. noodle lunch set was great! time for fox village can be shorten so that we have more time at Ginzan Onsen.
This was the best day tour I over experienced! I booked this tour because I wanted to visit both Ginzan Onsen & Zao Fox Village and having it all came true on the same day is just so amazing! There are 3 tour guides who can speak English, Japanese, Mandarin. They are all very nice, the main tour guide (Shun-san) created this informative sheets & digital presentations for us, which I very much appreciated. I love the fact that almost for the entire ride he giving us history and recommendations for each places we visit/pass by. The visit duration in the Fox Village was good, but I wish I had a bit more time in Ginzan Onsen as it was very crowded and hard to get good pictures.. We also get lunch arranged and it was delicious! Overall I had such a wonderful time, totally recommended! I can’t wait to join another tour arranged by HIS on my next Japan trip! ❤️♨️🦊
Experience itself was good. Though I do have some questions regarding the quality of car at the fox village, the experience overall is good. Just a warning that certain tourists marks their territories in the toilet so they are rarely clean. They're better at marking territories then the fox themselves lols
The tour guide speaks both Chinese and English, so communication was effortless! Since I was traveling alone, the guide was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. In Ginzan, she shared fascinating stories and histories of each inn with me, and she also took many beautiful photos for me. We had plenty of time to explore the attractions; I enjoyed a foot bath in Ginzan and even got to hold a fox at Fox Village! Although Fox Village had a bit of a strong smell, the foxes were all adorable and walked right by us. The guide also provided a detailed explanation of Fox Village and the rules we needed to follow. The shuttle service was convenient, with plenty of restroom breaks along the way from point to point.
The bus tour to Zao Fox Village and Ginzan Onsen was such a fun day. The foxes were super cute, and Ginzan Onsen visit was a bit fast but understandable given the traffic on the way home.
