Guided Food Tour with 15 Dishes in Shinsekai, Osaka

We booked the 3 hour food tour several months in advance. We had low expectations not knowing what to expect coming to Japan for the first time. I was concerned we were walking into a tourist trap. Michael our guide started out strong with clear communication and provided detailed information as to where we would meet. We Michael was clean, professional, kind, funny and friendly. The tour was fantastic! We went to several restaurants with Michael teaching us Osaka history. Michael was also an open book and answered any/all question with honesty. If he did not know an answer he would ask a local or just say he did not know. Michael also taught us about the finer details in Japanese customs and etiquette.The establishments he took us to were all delicious and clean. The area we explored with Michael was clean and classic. I never write reviews. Michael was so good I feel compelled to spread the good word of his services. FYI I posted a longer review on trip advisor with errors and all.

We can not recommend this tour enough, Andy our guide was the complete package, knowledgeable on the food and history of Osaka, cultural insights, engaging and hilarious. If you are coming to Osaka book this tour you will not be disappointed.

highly reccomend this tour. I went with my husband and 2 children aged 16 and 17. We all really enjoyed the tour, food and drink. Good to try some street food and eat at differs venues. Our guide Scott made the tour fun and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely do this tour again.

What a fantastic tour. I came out to Japan from the UK to meet up with some Australian friends and we booked this yesterday. Anna our guide was amazing, really knowledgeable about the history of the area and the culture and took the time to introduce us to the people that worked in the places we ate. The food was so delicious and there was lots of it. Thank you for the laughs, the incredible food and great venues …would highly recommend this.

Adam, who is not Japanese, has a fantastically thorough understanding of Japanese history, culture and food. so much good food and drinks included. Totally worth the $80.

The food tour is fanastic. All the food we tasted is local to Osaka and was delicious. Our guide Anna's knowledge and history of Osaka food was amazing. I would recommend this to everyone.

Tim was a great guide. Thoroughly enjoyed his company and extensive knowledge surrounding Osaka and the street food scene.
