Easy day trip to Oze through this tour! The bus takes you straight to the start of the trail without needing to transfer. Since we used the same bus going to and from Oze, it was convenient as we could leave some stuff that were not necessary in the bus (take note you cannot access it until it is time to get back on the bus, and also that they do seating arrangement based on the reservation made). There is no guide for the trails but it was easy enough to follow the signs. Overall hike took around 5 hours. We were able to buy lunch in one of the huts inside the park. Bring 100 yen coins to pay for toilet use. Recommend this for a dayhike experience from Tokyo!
Without a guide, there's just a driver, and then you explore on your own. Of course, a guide isn't really necessary; you can just follow the roads yourself.
Good to know
- The itinerary may be changed due to traffic and road conditions, and the arrival time at the return destination may be delayed.
- Please wear comfortable sports shoes (hiking shoes are preferred) on the day. Wear less revealing clothes to protect against insects. Bring military gloves if necessary.
- As the sun and UV rays are strong in midsummer, it is recommended to wear long sleeves, long pants, and clothes that are easy to take off and put on.
- Please bring a raincoat as there are few places to shelter from the rain. (Depending on the temperature of the day, it can be used as warm clothing).
- Please note that the tour may be shortened or cancelled due to weather conditions or congestion.
