Choosing to join a Klook tour for one of our days in Osaka was absolutely the best decision! Our guide, Nick, was humorous and engaging, while also professionally explaining the history of Osaka and introducing the attractions. He even shared his personal recommendations at the end of the tour. My biggest concern during the trip was that buying Daruma dolls and making wishes at Katsuo-ji Temple would take too much time, preventing us from fully enjoying the temple grounds. However, Nick quickly showed us the fastest way to pray and make wishes with the Daruma dolls, as if we had a speed boost! Even after exploring all of Katsuo-ji, we still had plenty of time to shop leisurely. This was my first time participating in a Klook day tour, and I was incredibly impressed. From now on, whenever I travel abroad, I'll definitely set aside a few days for these kinds of activities! Thank you, Nick, for your hard work leading the tour. Your enthusiasm added so many wonderful memories to our trip! Nick is so cool! The travel agency should give Nick a raise!
My family and I, together with my wife and our 7 year old daughter, joined a wonderful day tour visiting Katsuoji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and the famous Kiyomizu-dera. The entire trip was well organized and very enjoyable for all of us. Each destination offered something special. Katsuoji Temple was peaceful and unique with its many Daruma dolls, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was breathtaking, and Kiyomizu-dera was truly impressive with its beautiful views and historic atmosphere. What made the tour even more memorable was our guide, Nick. He was entertaining, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Throughout the trip he shared interesting facts, stories, and historical insights about each location, making the journey both fun and educational. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for my family. Nick’s enthusiasm and guidance made the tour smooth, engaging, and very memorable. Highly recommended for families visiting Osaka and Kyoto.
Arriving at Katsuoji Temple early in the morning started an amazing day. Cute little Daruma dolls are everywhere as you walk around the entire shrine. The maple leaves along the way fill the mountain with the atmosphere of autumn, making it incredibly beautiful! As soon as you walk into the hot pot restaurant for lunch, you can smell the super fragrant kelp soup, instantly stimulating your appetite. The soup is delicious and the Wagyu beef is also very tasty. After lunch, we went to Tenryu-ji Temple, Togetsukyo Bridge, and the Bamboo Forest Path, but because we encountered a Japanese public holiday, there were too many people, so we couldn't see everything. So we chose to walk towards Tenryu-ji Temple. The maple leaves along the road to Tenryu-ji Temple were also super beautiful for taking photos. We bought a Tenryu-ji Temple exclusive card (very well-made). On the way back, we bought the food recommended by the tour guide. Our last stop was Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and we were lucky enough to see the beautifully lit evening cityscape!
I like to include a Klook tour in each of my independent trips, which allows me to effortlessly visit other, more distant cities. I really appreciate the enthusiastic service of our Chinese-speaking guide, Xiao Tang. The entire itinerary was well-planned and smoothly executed. Although the time spent at each attraction wasn't long, we still returned to the meeting point after 7 PM. The sukiyaki lunch was also quite good. I think it was excellent.
The tour was well worth the money, and our guide, Gary, was very professional. When I visited Osaka last winter, I booked a one-day tour through Klook, and the guide contacted me via WhatsApp beforehand. This time, no one contacted me in advance, which made me quite anxious. However, everything started very smoothly once we arrived at the designated time and meeting point. My husband, children, and I had a wonderful trip, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and had a great time tasting green tea. I highly recommend booking this tour if it's your first time visiting the places on the itinerary, as it takes care of your meals and transportation.
Nick was an amazing tour guide during this tour! He shared so much about not just the attractions we were visiting, he also taught u about Japanese culture and even some local greetings. The tour was really fun and a great way to visit many places in a day if your feet need a rest or you just want to cover more ground in a short period. Really recommended if you come to Osaka!
I initially chose the one-day tour because I thought the journey would be too far. This itinerary seems to be new. Our tour guide, Xiao Liu, was very dedicated. He told us stories and the origins of each location before we arrived. My favorite part of the tour was Katsuō-ji Temple. When we first arrived, there weren't many people, so I was able to take my time exploring and taking pictures. Lunch was also delicious; the soup was really good, and the environment was very clean. In the afternoon, we went to Byodo-in Temple and Arashiyama. There are many stalls in Arashiyama where you can eat and shop. If you're hesitating about joining the tour, don't hesitate—just book it!
For our 7-day, 6-night family trip to Kyoto and Osaka, traveling with two children (12 and 7 years old), we decided to book this one-day tour. We were so lucky to have such an excellent guide, Nick. On the way to the attractions, to keep us from getting bored during the ride, he humorously explained things about Osaka and the sights that we didn't know. The whole bus was filled with laughter the entire way! 😂 Thank you, Nick, for such an enjoyable trip. We hope to meet Nick again if we come to Japan and join a Klook one-day tour in the future. Highly recommend! 👍
We had a fantastic trip with Mr. Tang and our driver! The itinerary was very well planned, packed and efficient, with almost no wasted time. I had always hoped to visit both Katsuo-ji Temple and Kiyomizu-dera in the same trip, so I was especially happy that this itinerary made it possible. What impressed us most was that Mr. Tang didn’t simply drop us off at each attraction. He accompanied us throughout every stop and walked with us the whole way. We chatted and laughed along the journey, and he also shared many interesting historical stories, which made the sightseeing much more meaningful and enjoyable. Lunch was delicious as well, and everything throughout the day was arranged smoothly. We managed to see so much without feeling that any time was wasted. I’m very grateful to Mr. Tang and our driver for making this trip so enjoyable and memorable. We were extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend this tour!
Thank you, tour guide Nick, for your thoughtful guidance throughout the trip. The itinerary was smooth, and your explanations were clear and engaging, making our time at Katsuoji Temple and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove very enjoyable and creating many wonderful memories. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
