Mt. Fuji Climbing Mountain Hut Reservation: Overnight Stay at Hut 9 (Fujinomiya Route)

good place to stay one night for climbing up the summit of Mount Fuji to see the sunrise. the dinner is delicious. the bedding is tidy and clean

The hut is location in 9th station which 3,460 meters above sea level. Ideal for summit ascent the next morning. However the room was small for us, we cannot stretch our body in the room. We can also hear the noises of other climbers.

Accomodation is cozy and comfortable. The staff guided us well. The food was good, vegetarian friendly too. they even packed us breakfast in the morning while leaving to summit. The vide from the accomodation was great. But toilet maintenance is very bad

The family of three slept in one room with a window, allowing for good air circulation. The environment was better than expected.

It was incredibly challenging, but it was a memorable experience that I'll cherish for a lifetime.

The room is shared by several people, essentially a sleeping bag where you can't move once you're in it (it's quite small). Dinner was delicious, beef bowl curry rice with hot green tea. Breakfast was two pieces of bread and green tea. What you really need to be prepared for is the terrible cleanliness of the restroom; you have to hold your breath when you go in, and the floor is very dirty.

Everything else was fine, but it was difficult for four of us to sleep in such a cramped space where we could barely move.

The hygiene standards are extremely poor. Four people have to sleep in a very small room, and it’s far too cramped for adults to sleep comfortably. The sleeping bags are clearly never washed. The toilets smell so bad that they’re unusable. How can they charge this much while failing to maintain even basic hygiene

The team up there is friendly... but it's a mountain hut... we're packed into small cells on very thin futons, so it's like sleeping on a wooden board. Collective wake-up at 1:30 AM... to go see the sunrise. What really shocked us, though, was how dirty the restrooms were, not cleaned in weeks or months... a foul smell... Everywhere in Japan, public restrooms are very clean, but here they're horrible and incomprehensible... there might be 10 people working at the hut... cleaning the restrooms and floor once a day would be the bare minimum... especially when they charge a fortune for a night for 150 people in a dormitory!!!
