What to expect
Embark on an adventure at Japan's largest [Kyushu Natural Zoological Park], interact intimately with lions, and upload photos to become an instant sensation! Then, visit the misty trailhead of Mount Yufu, and we recommend ascending to "Yumenoen" halfway up the mountain for a breathtaking panoramic view of the volcano.
In the afternoon, stroll through the dreamy town of [Yufuin], check in by Lake Kinrin wearing a yukata, where the ethereal lake surface and autumn foliage reflections are stunningly beautiful. Finally, arrive at the healing climax, [Beppu's Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell)], where the Tiffany blue hot spring pool and the dreamy, steam-shrouded scene make you feel as if you've stepped into a magical world. Don't forget to soak your feet in a footbath to rejuvenate!
Kyushu is a fairy tale book written for adults. Let’s gather the healing energy of volcanoes, hot springs, and forests together! [Jungle bus tickets for the zoo need to be reserved on-site, and availability cannot be guaranteed. We appreciate your understanding.]

That time my family can not have fixed plan until Apr 26th night. So I made a booking at 1AM Apr 27th, when I was already too sleepy and the tour we want to go already full until May 8th while I want to arrange a tour on Apr 28th. Then I have to change to another tour with another day , Apr 29th. Then I still get up so early on Apr 28th cause in my mind it’s Apr 28th. But on a bad day I still got lucky cause I met a very nice tour guide - Ada. She helped me until me and my family can have a seat on bus. Without her I don’t know if I can do anything to rearrange my plan. Shoutout to Ada👏🏻 Then I met another nice girl sitting next to me on a tour bus. She is from Hongkong and wanna take a picture with me
Joined a day tour in Kyushu today, covering four attractions. I thought the pace would be rushed, but it wasn't tiring at all because the driver and tour guide arranged everything so well. Our guide, Jin, was practically a walking encyclopedia! His explanations were interesting and funny, even the elders and kids listened attentively to his stories. **First stop: Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) Bicolor Hot Spring Spectacle ♨️** The blue and red hot spring pools are actually two different mineral compositions. Our guide, Jin, explained very carefully why two pools so close together would have different colors. **Second stop: Kyushu Animal Forest 🦁** I thought the elders and teenagers would find watching animals boring, but they all turned into "wow wow wow" while constantly taking pictures of the animals. Although we couldn't ride the cage car to feed the animals, we still took many beautiful animal photos while riding in the air-conditioned bus. My family was most happy about feeding the ponies and touching the kangaroos. **Third stop: Yufuin Street Food Guide 🍡** Before getting off the bus, our guide, Jin, provided each family with a Yufuin food map. We took the elders and youngsters to explore the street food, trying different local delicacies, but the weather was really hot! **Fourth stop: Mt. Yufu Trailhead ⛰️** The last stop of the trip was the Mt. Yufu trailhead. I thought it would be ordinary, planning to take a photo in 10 minutes after getting off the bus, but it turned out to be a super-sized mountain view IMAX theater! The lush green mountains stretched to the horizon, making me feel refreshed!
The greatest trip with tour guide Wendy. Fruitful day trip recommended for family with kids. Wendy is super helpful and taking care to kids. We had a wonderful experience.
The entire itinerary was well-organized. The tour leader was friendly and took excellent care of all the members. The driver was also very safe and steady. The whole trip was well-arranged, and there was reasonable time to visit each place. This tour is highly recommended. The only suggestion for improvement would be to consider using the caged bus provided by Kyushu Natural Animal Park to enhance the park experience. Although the tour bus provided a comfortable environment for viewing the animals, riding the caged bus allows you to feed the animals and get closer to the wildlife. I hope you can consider this adjustment. 👍
The kids really enjoyed the trip to the zoo, though it was a small pity we didn't get to ride the feeding bus. The Sea Hell was very unique, and the steamed buns and pudding we ate there were delicious! Our last stop was Yufuin, which was great for shopping, eating, and taking photos 📷. The overall trip was very relaxing and fun 👍. Our tour guide, Xiao Yang, was also very enthusiastic, recommending restaurants in Fukuoka and explaining the sights we passed by.
Very chill tour. Well paced and organized. The attractions were also nice. Tour time in the itinerary was followed.
Today's day trip included the zoo, Yufuin, and Beppu. Our tour guide, Wengy, was amazing, fluently switching between Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, and Taiwanese. In the limited time we had, she pointed out the must-eat and must-do attractions and snacks, allowing us to see as much as possible. Of course, the time wasn't really enough, so we'll leave that regret for next time. Maybe we can stay in Yufuin and take a chill self-driving tour sometime!
Our tour guide, Jimmy Liu-san, was very nice and funny, and the driver was also great. As for the itinerary: Yufuin is great for shopping. For travelers who love to shop and take pictures, 2.5 hours is not enough time, which is a bit of a shame. But the day trip is relaxing and convenient, and overall I still highly recommend it!
The itinerary is well arranged, the leader explains very well, suitable for no self-drive tour because the itinerary attractions if you go by car, relatively wasteful time and more difficult to go!
The tour guide was very thoughtful and attentive, and the seating arrangements were appropriate. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the zoo, and the unique characteristics and highlights of each location were well-explained. Important reminders were also given repeatedly. Both the children and we had a very pleasant and enjoyable time.
