5-Day Reverse Trek through the Genyen Cloud Secret Realm (Mount Siguniang + Eye of Genyen + Moshi Park + Yuzi West)

My friend and I booked this trip, and we chose this itinerary specifically for the Genyen Secret Realm. First, let's talk about the accommodation, which is often a primary concern. The 'Comfort' package was quite good for a high-altitude region. The night in Genyen Town, in particular, was simple but clean, better than we expected. The reverse-route altitude design was indeed traveler-friendly; we acclimatized at Mount Siguniang before heading to higher elevations, and we didn't need oxygen tanks at all. Genyen in June is incredibly beautiful – meadows, streams, snow-capped mountains, wildflowers; every view is postcard-perfect. Moshi Park is truly magical, like being on another planet. The weather cooperated perfectly at Yuzi West this time, and we saw the golden sunset over the mountains, which everyone cheered for. Our driver-guide was very experienced, knew the best photo opportunities at each spot, and even helped us secure good vantage points. There were no shopping stops throughout the trip, so all our time was spent enjoying the scenery. My advice is: bring good sunscreen and lip balm, drink plenty of water, and take your time.

This 5-day tour was absolutely amazing! Starting from Chengdu, we passed through Honghaizi and Rainbow Road, and the scenery was breathtaking. The moment we unexpectedly saw the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' was like a fairyland. The landscapes around Genyen were also stunning, and Moshigongyuan (Inkstone Park) felt like stepping into another world! The fact that there were oxygen rooms in high-altitude areas was fantastic. The travel agency's arrangements made us feel very secure, and the service was exceptional. Our dedicated assistant kept in touch with us via WeChat throughout the trip, promptly responding to and handling any questions we had. This tour definitely deserves a five-star rating!

The Eye of Genyen is even more stunning in person than in photos. It's hard to describe the feeling of being immersed in the beauty of those vast mountain forests and grasslands. Every part of the journey offered unique scenery. The marmots at Moerda Park are so plump and not at all afraid of people—they're adorable. Our group this time was all young people, and we split the cost of local delicacies together in the evenings, which created a great atmosphere. The whole trip was very enjoyable, highly recommended!

The beauty of Western Sichuan in late April was breathtaking. Enjoying afternoon tea at Ranrika while gazing at the snow-capped mountains, all the fatigue from the journey felt completely worth it. This itinerary is essentially a scenic tour, offering countless photo opportunities every day. There was no forced shopping, and the driver didn't try to sell us anything. The hotels were decent, and any issues we had were promptly addressed by the concierge. We even got a complimentary stay at a Chengdu hotel and visited Jinli. Overall, it was a great experience, highly recommended!

In June, the Eye of Genyen is full of water, and with the surrounding wildflowers and lingering snow, its raw beauty moves me more than Yading Nature Reserve. The entire trip was well-planned. Brother Hui, as our leader and driver, guided us throughout the journey, making it very comfortable. He was able to make flexible adjustments based on our needs, and when we ran low on oxygen tanks, he quickly arranged for more.

The reverse route was amazing! We visited Mount Siguniang first, then Genyen, allowing us to gradually acclimatize to the altitude with no altitude sickness at all. The reflection in Genyen's Eye was so beautiful it looked unreal, and Moerdo Stone Park felt like an alien battlefield. Our photos got so many likes! We watched the sunset over the golden mountains at Yuzi West, and everyone in the car was screaming with excitement! The driver even used a drone to film us. For this price, to get this kind of service, I truly recommend it!

We descended on May 16th, confirming that the probability of altitude sickness is indeed low. My travel companion is prone to altitude sickness but only experienced a slight headache in Litang that night; otherwise, they were full of energy. The scenery is beautiful; the sunset at Yuzi West had few clouds, and the Gongga mountain range stretched out in a line. Enjoying coffee there made for a perfect atmosphere.

When we signed up, we were quite worried about altitude sickness. The customer service representative explained many safeguards to us, and they truly delivered on everything they promised. Our worries about altitude sickness didn't materialize. The entire itinerary was quite packed, and the scenery in Western Sichuan is indeed beautiful. A special thanks to Master Zeng Wen; he drove very smoothly, was humorous, and constantly looked after our well-being. He was very meticulous, and every morning he was waiting for us early. Extremely dedicated!

Starting from Batang, the altitude gradually increased, but I didn't experience any altitude sickness throughout the trip. The Eye of Genyen in June was lush with vegetation and water, and the reflection of the snow-capped mountains made it feel like a fairyland. Enjoying afternoon tea at Ranrika while gazing at Mount Genyen, the tranquility there felt more secluded than Yuzi West. The KLOOK customer service was excellent; any issues I had were resolved immediately. They are very reliable and I highly recommend them!

In early June, Western Sichuan is covered with small yellow flowers and rhododendrons everywhere. The sky is blue, and snow-capped mountains serve as a backdrop in the distance—it's just like a Miyazaki film! Absolutely stunning! Our driver and team leader, Brother Wang, was also excellent. He told us many interesting stories along the way and even helped us take photos. We truly felt the warmth and hospitality of the people of Sichuan!
