Reviews
The 4-day trip was great, many of the sights were great, and the itinerary was well-organized. Our luck is very good, 3 out of 4 days are sunny. The companions in the group were very friendly, and the leader was also very considerate. On the first day, he asked me about my condition from time to time, and later he prepared car sickness patches for us. He also explained it very well on the way, and the content was rich and interesting. Overall, it is very good ~
Five-star rating, highly recommended! Our 4-day tour of the Sichuan-Tibet Loop was an absolutely fantastic experience, and we must thank our driver, Master Chen Yuhang! The roads in Western Sichuan are often winding mountain passes, but Master Chen's driving skills are solid and experienced. He drove smoothly and steadily throughout the trip, and his familiarity with the road conditions made us feel completely safe and at ease. He is a sincere and easygoing person, attentive and responsible, constantly checking on everyone's well-being along the way. He thoughtfully reminded us about altitude sickness precautions, sun protection, staying warm, and preventing altitude sickness. He also proactively helped with luggage and looked after our fellow travelers. The vehicle was clean, tidy, and odor-free, and he gave us ample time for photos and sightseeing. The entire trip was pure enjoyment with no sales pitches or hidden costs. He was reliable, punctual, and his attitude was warm and considerate. He accompanied us throughout, allowing us to see all the stunning scenery of Western Sichuan, making the trip worry-free and comfortable. We were so lucky to have such a responsible and dependable driver! Highly recommended!
This trip was relaxing and packed with activities. The hotel was clean, comfortable, well-located, and offered fantastic views at a great value. The 4-day small loop tour was an excellent experience, exceeding our expectations. Initially, we booked an 8-person group, but only our party of five formed the tour, and the travel agency still arranged for us to depart. The vehicle was a spacious and very comfortable 9-seater van. The hotels arranged were also in great locations. What truly deserves praise is our tour leader, Xu Xuntao. He was incredibly capable, young but very steady, reliable, and exceptionally patient. He was very familiar with the road conditions and routes, and his driving skills were excellent; he drove smoothly the entire time, whether on flat roads or winding mountain paths. Our leader was very patient throughout the trip, taking photos for us and fulfilling every request. He even used a drone to capture videos for us. Along the way, he would find extra fun places for us to experience, which was fantastic. He also proactively helped us with our luggage when checking into hotels. This trip offered incredible value for money. If we have the chance to visit Western Sichuan again, we will definitely choose this type of small group tour. Highly recommended!
Overall, it was a decent trip. It’s not the most foreigner-friendly experience, but we managed to see all the key attractions we came for. You’re paying for a driver and that’s it Pros: • Visited all locations listed in the itinerary. However, mountain views depend heavily on weather, and some peaks were hidden by clouds. • Hotels were comfortable and met basic needs. • Driver was punctual and efficient, with hotel pick-up and drop-off included. • Complimentary bottled water provided. • Comfortable vehicle with reclining seats Cons: • Driver does not speak English, so download Google Translate or a live translation app. • Oxygen canisters are not provided; purchase them en route (25–45 RMB). • “High hotel” option is closer to Hotel 81/boutique hotel standards, with simple breakfasts such as congee and boiled eggs. • Lunch stops were pricier than Chengdu or Shanghai, averaging around USD40 for 2 people. • If you avoid pork or are sensitive to spicy food, bring your own snacks or meals.
Not suitable for foreigners despite the package showing in English. The tour is in Chinese and doesn't cater for English speakers. Think of this more as a transfer service then a tour. Instructions from the guide is very hurried. Wouldn't reccomend this. Tickets to entrances aren't included. It's probably better to get yourself a driver who can act as a guide. For this service, you are just dropped off to certain locations with limited instructions and as a foreigner I found this quite confusing.
