- Tanuki Lake Campground is located in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, at the foot of majestic Mt. Fuji, in a corner of the Asagiri Plateau.
- You can enjoy camping while admiring Mt. Fuji and the lakeside.
- In spring, approximately 350 Somei Yoshino and wild cherry trees bloom along the lake, and in early summer, fireflies can be seen around the south side tent site.
- You can enjoy crucian carp fishing and boat rentals on the lake.
- A promenade is maintained along the lakeside, and you can enjoy walking and renting bicycles.
What to expect
[Experience Camping Light】 Camping equipment can be picked up and returned at the campsite administration building. You can use the carts on site to transport it to your campsite. We have selected easy-to-assemble tents that are also recommended for beginners, so even first-time campers can rest assured.
[Attractions of Lake Tanuki Campground] The campground is easily accessible by car or bus from the nearest station, which is a great advantage. There is a supermarket in front of the station, so you can shop before heading to the campsite. We also recommend cycling around Lake Tanuki, as well as visiting the nearby “Shiraito Falls” and “Makaino Farm,” where you can interact with animals.
